Do not purchase!Warning do not purchase! Just opened and was shocked at the terrible quality! Stitching and stuffing coming out! Don't waste time or money on this comforter!1Keeps a person warm in winter, very comfortable.I live in a trailer with poor insulation. The last 3 winters I kept the temperature at 50-55F (to save on electricity). I bought small sherpa blankets. However I have 3 cats, and the cardboard from the scratchers kept getting caught in the sherpa lining. I learned to buy only smooth material when choosing blankets. Four winters ago - trying to stay warm at night - I bought a sleeping bag with ?nylon? outside. It was lightweight and warm, but did not breathe. I would wake up wet from sweat. Next I bought a below zero rated sleeping bag that was cotton. I weighed 9lb and would breathe. If I kept it zipped up, it would take 10-15 min to warm up. When I woke up, again I was wet from sweat. If I opened the bag, then air circulated, but it became a blanket, not a bag. Since I am 6ft 2in, even an extra tall sleeping is a short blanket. If I pull it up to my chin, then cold air gets to my feet. This winter I tried this Comforter in King Size. I have used it for a week now. I love it and the 3 cats love it. For reasons I do not understand - the cats did not seem to like the sleeping bag. They kept trying to push it out of the way to find a spot to lay down. The day I took this out of the package, I noticed that within and hour, all 3 cats were sleeping on top of it. They love it, even when I am not under it ! ! ! At night, I use a large 5.6lb blanket, with this King Size Comforter on top (7.7lb). As soon as I lay down, all 3 cats come running to get a good spot. When I wake up in the morning, I am plenty warm, but not sweating at all. It is kind to hard to figure out why this comforter is so different from a below zero sleeping bag. The comforter is 7.7lb, and the sleeping bag is 9.1lb. Since they are similar in weight, you would think they would be similar in feel and warmth. However, the sleeping bag, though cotton, feels the same as canvas overalls from Carhart. Super tough, very heavy, and stiff (but warm). This comforter seems to be super soft, and very light, as if you covered by a layer of magic warmth that you can barely feel. When I wake up in the morning, I am not sweating at all. Since I got a king size, when I pull it to my chin, there is so much hanging past my feet, very little cold air gets to my feet. When I lay down, in 5min or so, the blankets warm up, and the cats come running. Then we all sleep like rocks. Even though it weights 7.7lb, and has the warmth of a winter blanket, it feels super light (as if it was only a 3 lb blanket). I don't understand it, but it sure feels nice on cold nights. I wish I had gotten this years ago. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT FOR ANY ONE TRYING TO STAY WARM IN A COLD HOUSE ! ! !5Just what I was looking for...Bought this for my teenage son as a Birthday/Christmas gift. Somehow UPS goofed up the delivery and it did not arrive. This company was so wonderful about taking care of the issue! When we received the comforter we opened the package and the comforter expanded as if it were real down. My son loves it! It is warm, reversible (in colors he likes), easy to care for and seems well made. Also it was reasonably priced. Mostly, I was so impressed with the service we received! Thank you so much! We are very happy customers!!!5Horrible sewingI love that it s not too heavy but very warm. It s a beautiful color. It s not too bulky. Right out of the box there were loose threads. This has continued to be an issue and I ve ended up sewing and in some cases stapling the edges to keep it from completely coming apart. When the threads got caught on my newborn s toes.... that was the point that I really started to hate the comforter.2Falsely advertise product descriptionThis was advertised as cool in the summer, warm in the winter. It s anything but. With the air conditioning at 72 , it s ridiculously hot and useless anytime it s not freezing. This is working better than expected as a cover over our sleeping bags on a full size bed in our van. Even with temps down to 29F outside we don't have our bags zipped up. My wife isn't even in her bag often. Easy to clean and we spill wine, suntan lotion, whatever on it during long road trips.
5Nice ComforterThis comforter is perfect for my sons bed. It is the right weight and is true to size. Perfect for the South s winters. The material is not slick but rather soft and it does not slip and slide off of the bed. Excellent comfortable at a good price. VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER. I have no reservations recommending the purchase of this Comforter!!!5Great ComforterPurchased two of these and couldn't be more pleased. They are well constructed, The fabric and fill are both exactly what I wanted ( I was looking for a slightly lighter weight for use in a warm climate but one that would be warm on cooler nights).After using for a period of time and washing, I did not notice any significant movement of the fill or issues with the stitching that were noted in reviews of some other comforter offerings. This product came as advertised and fits my king size bed well. It's warm and lightweight. On colder nights I threw on an extra blanket and was plenty warm. Good product. I've only had it for a week so I can't comment on the durability and ease of cleaning.
5UPDATE!I still stand behind "you get what you paid for." HOWEVER, while Amazon left me hanging with 3 of everything, I did connect with Bare directly. They could not have been more polite and customer friendly. I've worked in B2B and B2C customer service for nearly four decades, so I truly appreciate those who get that we who purchase are the reason they exist. Yes, the quality isn't great. Some stitching issues, etcetera. However, this isn't designed to be expensive bedding and candidly I've had topnotch bedding that didn't last and had their issues. All said, they sent me a replacement quilt for the one with a few tiny holes with stuffing coming through and three new sheet sets. The other turn-on from this product is they use the latest in material compliance. Assuming this is all regulated properly beyond Bare, I feel better that my children aren't sleeping on harmful chemicals. If you're looking for good, inexpensive bedding, give Bare a try!Bought 3 quilts along with 3 sheet sets and mattress covers Feb-2019 from Bare through Amazon (whom I m generally a huge fan of). By Jun-2019, there are tiny holes in the quilt where the filling is coming out. Amazon surprisingly wouldn t replace it and no answer at Bare. Not expensive stuff - I get that. Also, even good stuff can have a bad day. However, in principle for a company (Bare) who touts their brand and quality and pummeled me with post purchase inquiries, neither they nor Amazon stand behind the product. I also found fuzz and dust for months all over our hardwood floors from the sheets, quilts and assume mattress covers. It was concerning besides a nuisance. Lastly, while the sheets and cover have deep pockets, they pull away too easily.5Best comforter I have ever had!These comforters are so soft and comfy and hold up well in the washing machine. I love them! I bought myself the Twin XL in Turquoise & Purple along with the matching sheets, and I also bought my brother the Twin XL in Grey along with the matching sheets as well. One of my comforters came with some lose threads but it wasn't a big deal for me. I thought they were great for me being a college student but when my grandpa came to visit he borrowed my blanket and he loved it so much he made me order him one in a different color and size (Queen). So I guess I would say they are great for people and kids of all ages.The shipping took a little long, but it was worth the wait.5Far better than expectedI took a chance on this comforter because I have both black and red sheets. It just happens to match both exactly. I have a queen sized bed and bought the king comforter. I wanted it a bit longer on the sides and this works very well. It is a very nice cover for my bed and it is very warm when matched with a fleece blanket underneath. Very pleased with the fit and the finish. I have no issues with the sewing and I took a very hard look based on a few of the reviews.5
