Customer Reviews

Great quality but runs smallThe tights seem like great quality but they do run small. I'm writing this because I felt that my daughter--6 years old, ~43 lbs, normally a size 5/6 in clothes--was in between the 2-6 size and the 8-12 size. I took a chance on ordering a size up and I'm so glad I did! The size 8-12 fit her much better than I imagine the 2-6 would (they're still even a bit snug--stretchy, but snug). Hope this helps someone else who was in the same predicament. 4Will Last For Monthshttps://www.amazon.com/dp/B000CH3MS8/ref=twister_dp_update?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1I purchased the caramel tights in a size 8-12 for my daughter to where during jazz and tap. She loves the transition style so she can pull the tights up around her ankles so she can wear flip flops to and from the dance studio. She is 7 years old, about 50" tall, slender frame around 56lbs, so the size 8-12 were a perfect fit although she doesn't like how the waistband sits above her belly button. Simple solution, fold over waistband once without it looking bulky or squeezing her like a sausage in the middle. The caramel color is a close nude, so not too pale or too dark. I personally love the thickness and overall quality of this particular tight because it holds up well for several months with good care. I hand wash the tights and hang dry them to make sure they last as long as possible. Due to their thickness, I believe they are able to withstand snags and avoids tears fairly well. I also have a pair for my daughter in ballet pink that she wore once a week that lasted the whole season of 10 months. Highly recommend and will purchase over and over until she gets too tall for this size. 5Size up if you have a tall daughter. These are great dance tights. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because I think the sizing for 2-6x is completely bogus. My daughter is 4 and tall for her age, but she certainly isn't bigger than 6x. These tights BARELY fit her. If you have a tall daughter like I do, and you are looking for something for age 4 and up, I would size up. Don't buy the 2-6x size. 4Incredibly soft transitional tightsI purchased the pink size 8 -12 for my six year old daughter. She typically wears a 6, 6X or 7. If the girl you are purchasing the tights for is between a 6 to 7 I would recommend sizing up. The tights seem to sun a little small. The pink tights are a beautiful ballet pink color. They are soft and have a thick elastic band at the top. This was the first pair of transitional tights my daughter had ever owned and they are perfect for her to wear her favorite flip flops to and from dance class. 5I'm glad I heeded the adviceI read another review where the person advised that these tights ran small. I'm glad I heeded the advice. My daughter is 6yo, and normally wears a size 7/8; sometimes a size 6. I purchased these tights in a size 8-12 and they were an exact fit. I'm paying forward the advice to order a size larger. 4Pretty pink dance tightsI love these tights. They ar the prettiest color pink and they have holes in the feet so they can be pulled up around the ankles. This helps when my daughters ballet class does freestyle dancing at the end of class, for fun. And she can wear the tights to ballet with any shoes and not worry about snagging the tights material on the shoes (Velcro). My daughter is 6 years old, 45 inches, 39 lbs and the small (4-6?) size fits great. 5Capezio tightsMy daughter is 8 so I bought her size 8-12 , she is normal size and height for her age . These tights fit her perfectly, but if your daughter a little bit taller or bigger there is no way they will fit . She wore them twice for a 2 -day dance recital. I washed them twice as well . They did not rip or fell apart yet . I usually buy cheap Payless brand but they were out of tan color in my daughter s size . I previously had a bad experience with Different style of capezio tights, so I was very nervous to order them again. It was the only ones that would come in time for the recital. I am not sure if I buy them again though. 4Cheap Knockoff, Not Capezio!Beware! What I received were not Capezio tights. They were packaged in a Capezio envelope but sealed in the distributor's plastic wrap. I received a poor quality, thin, bright pink pair of footed tights with a run and loose stitches in the waist and no tag indicating they were Capezio. I ordered the same pair of tights through Capezio a few months ago. They were perfect. The wrapper said these were the transition, ballet pink, Capezio tights. What I received was a poor quality pair of panty hose with no brand. I've never seen dance tights like these. I am certain these tights are not Capezio brand and someone is trying to pass off some cheap knockoff by packaging and selling them as Capezio tights. Hopefully, mine was the exception rather than the rule. 1Toes are NOT SeamlessI looked into transition tights because my daughter has suddenly developed a major sensitivity to toe seams on socks and tights. She takes ballet/tap once a week and started complaining to her teacher that her tap shoes hurt. Turns out it was the tights seams. I read on a dance mom forum to try transition tights for a girl who hates seams because "the seam is a hole on the bottom". Clearly it's not the case with this particular pair. I slid the seam under her toes and she seems fairly satisfied so we'll see how it goes.On a sizing note, my daughter is slim, 34 pounds, and 3 months shy of her 4th birthday. The waist band is snug, the legs are snug, and there might be a 1/2 inch of room for height, but in my opinion these would not fit the average 6 year old. 3Excellent for young ballet students! These tights are wonderful! They don't have baggy ankles like the Danskin tights we had tried before, and they don't have a weird shimmer like some do. They have a gusset in the crotch, so they aren't uncomfortable to wear without underpants, which is a bonus since many ballet studios require that children start going without underpants starting at a young age (to keep from having weird bumps on their tights and leos where the seams are). I hand wash them and hang dry and they come out looking as good as new every time! 5
