Customer Reviews

The Best Duck Tape The best duck tape out there. You can't purchase this quality at your local hardware store. I used it for an outside use and it lasts even through our 110 degree temperatures. 5Unusual and very useful. Best tape of this type I've ever used AND it is white and matches the wood trim next to my use of this tape. I unspools easily and readily sticks and stays stuck until removed. It is smooth appearing and without the ridges usually associated with duck tape. 5A $2000 Vehicle Fix for under $10 - Don't Drink & Drive!Bought this to fix my cosmetic car bumper damage from almost a year ago. So far the original tape is still well stuck on and blends nicely into my black car. I got over $2000 from the insurance of the drunk jerk that sideswiped my parked car while I was at work, and fixed it beautifully & effeciantly for under $10. I'd definitely call this a 5 star purchase!5UPDATE! Love Duck Tape...I have a blow up mattress, for my animals. (Sigh & sigh)...One my of cats created a BIG hole. So, I saturated a rubber glove with gorilla glue, shoved it into the hole, pulled it out (slightly) & taped it with..."Duck Tape!" Well, lo & behold, it worked! It's been 2 days & the mattress hasn't deflated, AT ALL!....Ooooh, the things that I am going to tape! I love "Duck Tape." I've tried them all, including Gorilla Tape. This is the best, by far.I have a tendency of pulling & straining vacuum hoses & creating holes. This works, incredibly, well for fixing those vacuums. I use this tape for my 5 gallon bucket handles, as well. Today, I broke my baby toe. I'm going to tape a popsicle stick to my toe, with Duck Tape!5It's water-resistant can't beat itI've been using this stuff for years I recently purchased the role of the black tape because I have an old police car that has holes in the roof and I was able to use this stuff to keep water from getting into the roof and rusting out the roof. It's very durable is water resistant and does the job very well in that regards a lot of these old police cars have holes from the light bars which are rather large and it makes it hard to plug it using some of the standard plugs that are available on the market. Get a roll of this stuff peel off the old tape slap the new one on your good for at least 3 years can't beat it an economical solution to a very costly problem to repair keeps the water out keeps dirt and debris from entering into the holes of the roof perfect for an old police car.5Bad tip from Wirecutter ReviewI purchased this based on positive reviews from Wirecutter (review website). My experience was not as positive... I'm not sure where and/or what temperature they tested this but on a 50 degree sunny Northern California day, the dollar bills in my wallet were stickier than this tape. It was no where near as sticky as comparable 3M-max or Gorilla-brand (and I'm no believer in the Gorilla hype, but if it works, it works). I'd never before thought of returning duct (duck) tape but there's a first for everything...2Perfect! Repaired an eyesore. OK -- It's true you can use duct tape for almost anything. My house shifts causing the taped & floated seams to bust apart creating an eyesore. No matter how many times we have the seams redone, they eventually separate. I secured this WHITE duck / duct tape over the cracked seams & amazingly, the seams so far have held together & look natural as the WHITE duct tape blends in with the ceiling color. Great idea! 5Importance of brand name tape.I bought some generic duct tape to tape some things down and cover up some gaps. The generic tape began 'ballooning' and peeling. I thought maybe the use-case just wasn't right for duct tape but someone said it was because I was using bad tape. I figured I would give this a try since I've used duct tape from Duck for small projects before. I used this tape for the same kinds of things I used the generic one for, but this actually stays on and it stays on flat. Now I know why some duct tape is more expensive than others.5The adhesive came off the tape backingThe adhesive came off the tape over night. I taped together two pieces of Coroplast. There was some tension on the tape which is what I needed to hold together. I came back in the morning and the whole thing had come apart. The adhesive stayed on one of the Coroplast parts but not to the tape's own backing. The tape itself stayed on the other piece of Coroplast.I would have expected perhaps the tape to not hold to the Coroplast if the tension was too much, but I did not expect the adhesive to let go of the tape backing..Time for Gorilla tape.1Not duct tapeNot duct tape. They can call it duct tape, but it doesn't stick to surfaces that way gray duct tape does. The texture is different too. The sticky part has an almost slimy texture. Maybe I got a roll that had been sitting in a hot warehouse for a long time. I won't buy it again.1Doesn't even stick to cardboard...I tried to tape up a large cardboard box that had opened up on one of the corners. To my surprise, this tape would barely stick to the cardboard. The slightest movement or pressure and it came loose, peeled right off. I've used many rolls of common duct tape to repair cardboard boxes and this was by far the worse one. It's so bad it's useless. I tried fixing a 3" length of this MAX stuff to the side of the cardboard box, and let the roll(still attached to the 3" tape piece) hang by it's weigh, and it(the 3" tape piece) slide right off, that's how useless this tape it. I fixed the problem using common masking tape... that worked the way tape is supposed to, by sticking to the cardboard (duh!) .1not worth itadhesive isn't better than ordinary. maybe i got an old one, but is even less sticky than another roll of ordinary duct tape i have.1DUCK TAPE RATED THE WORST GARBAGE OF ALL THE TAPESI didn't do my research until after I ordered this crap. Not the sellers fault, just that I found out after it was on the way that this useless garbage Duck Tape makes is almost useless. Hope they go out of business1
