Poor finish and constructionI was looking forward to this product, at first glance it looked fine, but I flipped the reel to the other side and you can see defects in the water proof coating. As I rolled the strip out, I noticed that at every solder(18inches) there is a hump so it won t lay flat and stick in those spots. There is a spot where a trace is sticking out from between the tape and the LED backing. There is at least one cold solder point (i ll try to upload pics). When I finally got the spot where you could see the coating imperfection, it was stuck to the back of the layer over it, and even ripped a chunk of coating off the LEDs. Other spots simply didn t have any. Seems like it was rolled up while the coating was still wet/hot. I am going to request and exchange and update when I get the new roll. I m not even going to test the strip Incase there is a short somewhere. Not putting my power supply at risk.1Trash The backing is the trash and the wiring is two light duty to be of any use for anything dont waste your money try pryeu leds. I threw these in the garbage 1Order 2, One Faulty, One Works (well)I ordered two of these; Normally I order a different brand, but I needed some 600 LED strips, so I went with this FAVOLCANO brand instead. I ordered two of the RED LED Strips, one did not work and its not worth the gas in my truck to take them to UPS to return them, the other strip however seems to work well, no defective LEDs that I've seen so far.I expected them to be brighter than the usual 300 LED strips that I order from another company, how ever they are about the same lumens So wasn't really worth spending the extra $2 to get the 600 LED strips, and the worse part is the FAVOLCANO company doesn't make a matching 600 LED Amber/Orange strip so I'm sorta SOL now; but my fault for not researching before buying.2Garbage. Garbage.Spend extra for a better product bwcause these lights are janky and poorly made. The company also ignores requests for returns, so I would advise avoiding this seller and this product. 1Very Bright!Wrapped these around pvc pipe to make an underwater light for night fishing. This whole strip wrapped around a 2 ft piece of pipe makes for a blinding light. Much cheaper to make your own instead of purchasing a light pre-made. I have yet to use the light to see how well it works for catching fish, but all the led's function properly.5awesome i used these in my van - they are cut-to-fit, you can cut it about every inch or so.if you are getting a strip like this, spend a few extra bucks to get the adapter cables. even if you have confident with soldering and wiring, just get the clips. they are cheap and easy and safe!! 5Shipping was horrible, NOT PRIME SHIPPINGI bought over 50 units. I bought this for my boat and few hours after I installed it, they were on the floor...and the boat was parked in my garage! So glue is cheap and doesnt works.Lights are dificult to install if you want to cut pieces and put them together later.The day I went to the beach, lights worked just 2 times. After that I had to keep touching it in some areas to make them work for few minutes more. 1Bright, waterproof and adhesive sticks well Bright and waterproof. Adhesive sticks really well to my aluminum car trailer. I used (4)16.5feet strips to light up my trailer. Great visability at night. 5Great lights, look awesome on our golf cart at night!I bought these to add some underglow lighting to our golf cart. They work great! I cleaned the frame rails with degreaser and let them dry, then attached the lights and made all my wiring connections. The waterproof light strips I've purchased seem to have much better tape on them vs the non-waterproof ones for some reason.. They have been sticking perfectly on the frame rails for about 6 months now, and show no signs of coming off.The waterproof strips are kind of a pain if you have to splice them together - there are videos on youtube with some hints on how to do it, but if you have to splice them, I suggest cutting off a couple of small pieces and practicing on them before doing it to the one long run you need to ultimately do. Once I got the pads exposed, I soldered wires directly to them, and then covered them with black liquid electrical tape to seal them. They've been working great, even with the vibration and moisture under the golf cart.The picture I included is with one strip down the length of each side of the cart. They're nice and bright and look great at night!5Worth $10 but not much moreThese LEDs are more limber than other bends I have felt. That could be a good thing depending on your application.The rubber coat over the LEDs is thinner which is beneficial in areas, such as a tube, where there are tight tolerances with regards to I.D.These lights are resolderable, but you will need a fine tip and thin solder.As another reviewer stated, these lights get dimmer the further from the power source the LEDs are. I used all but 8" of a 16.4' roll, and there is a noticable difference from the end with the leads to where I cut it.I'll post a review for longevity next summer, if they last that long.3bright and small My only ding which kept it from being 5 stars is that the input end was bent severely due to packing issues.. Other than that, they are nice color and pretty bright. 4Running Very HOT !! UPDATE FAILED I attached this Flexi-Strip to 1/8" thick Aluminum strip 4' long. There are 3 red strips, 2 blue wired in parallel for Aquarium Use. In addition to wiring in parallel at the supply end I also ran jumpers at the distant end to equalize out any voltage drops. All of my connections are cool to the touch, the supply seems to be running cool, it's just the LED Flexi-Strip itself. Regardless these are running so hot I am afraid to use them unattended. My concern is longevity as high heat=failure when it comes to LEDs. FAILED - SMD failures on the strip have caused weatherproofing to darken (burn). This is apparent only on the blue strip, which visually appears to be manufactured differently from the Red. 3Great for the price.These were $10... nuf said. Did they adhere good? Yeah... but I cleaned the surface and rubbed with rubbing alcohol to promote good adhesion. I would have liked VHB tape a lot better, but these were $10. So far, so good. Look at the pictures. There is no remote control, but not a problem. I do not like that. It looks good. I like it... if it lasts.5Very easy to installWell got these lights and mounted on my kayak. Very easy to install. When I turned them on they are much brighter than the ones I replaced so. Dry happy about that. Can t say a whole lot about adhesion cbut it seemed pretty sticky like my old ones but since there will be a lot of water around then I used gorilla glue spray heavy duty to mount them. Haven t had them long enough to see how long they will last but as of the moment very happy with them and will recommend. Will update after a few months of being on the water.5Tooooo Fragile These are super cheap in every way. I tried installing these as deck lights on my boat. The adhesive on the back is essentially worthless, the paper backing practically falls off of it, and the internal wires crack super easy. I actually tore the entire strip apart just trying to slide it gently through a hole. They are very blue though. Like Police siren blue, so pay attention to where you're putting them, if it's gonna be outside, or on any type of vehicle. 2
