Customer Reviews

This is the one you want After shopping around, I took a chance on this one based on the positive reviews and I am very pleased. The build quality is very good for something this cheap. There are cheaper ottomans on Amazon, but look at the weights. The cheaper ottomans are "collapsible" (why would you want that?) while this thing ships at 23+ pounds and is solid like a real piece of furniture. Do yourself a favor and drop the extra $10-$15 for this one. You will like it.****************************Update 1****************************After a few months of medium to heavy use, 2 buttons have come off. Structurally it's still solid but the buttons can't handle the heavy foot traffic. I ended up cutting the other 2 buttons off and it still looks great. The buttons don't actually serve a purpose... the top just puffs up a tiny bit more now. If you saw it for the first time, you'd think it was design that way.****************************Update 2****************************After 6 months, the thing is still solid, but because I took the buttons off, the stitching at the intersections that the buttons were holding down is starting to come undone. Granted I use this thing everyday with size 14 banana boats. I'm still happy with the purchase but be aware of this problem if you think about removing the buttons like I did. Will report back in a few months. 5Looks nice, but DisappointedWhen attaching the legs, the bolt in just one leg did not fit the pre-fitted counter-sunk nut inside the ottoman bottom (like the other 3 did fit). I had to go to 3 hardware stores to find a particular bolt to fit it. It was really odd! Also, now the stitching near two of the tufted buttons is coming undone. We do not abuse the ottoman. I just occasionally rest my socked feet (no shoes) on the ottoman, and once in awhile sit on it, but why is the stitching now coming apart around two of the tufted buttons? Very disappointed. Have only had it about 3 months I think. Thus, I would hesitate to recommend it.1Lasted about a year...I'm giving it 2 stars since I guess I got my money's worth out of it, but would not buy again or recommend. I used it daily to keep my legs elevated. A button came off after a few months. Then, after about a year, the faux leather discintigrated and I threw it out.2Strong, Well Made, would buy againreceived well protected, legs inside the ottoman, also well protected and not bouncing around. Assembly easy (screw on the legs). Found a 1/2" cut in the leatherette on the bottom edge. Sealed it to prevent possibility of tearing. Not a bad cut and in a place not noticeable, but it should have been repaired by the assembler. All said and done, its a good product for the money and looks very nice in my home.4Poor WorkmanshipI exchange the ottoman the second time because the button popped off, Received another one January 13, 2017. Going on two months, now the stitching on the topside is separating. I wanted to exchange again, but I exceeded the time. You get what you paid for. Check out the photo. The pens point to the seams separating.1Triple duty ottoman that's easy on eyes and walletWe needed something to provide nice support for lounging that wasn't too bulky and matched our top grain leather sectional. Hesitant about the quality at this price we were delighted upon receipt and IMMEDIATELY ordered a second worrying about a risk of sell-out.The tone is a timeless dark roast coffee bean brown. Construction is solid but easy to lift or shift to the side when you want to get up. If you have laminate/wood flooring or a prized area rug then you may want to invest in those little gliders to prevent scratching or pulls. The interior of the cube fits a throw blanket (or two!) magazines, remotes and there's still room for more. The lid closes softly so there's no BAM when you grab your blanket. The legs screw on when you unbox but they could easily be left off if you need something shorter or prefer the modern floor pouf look. The top is pleasant for kicking up feet and for perching upon. This ottoman acts as lounger, storage chest and occasional seating with ample space. It's rather shockingly nice given the price point.Durability will be a test of time but one has already taken the force of a dead-weight, crash landing from a trip over an area rug and it didn't creak, give way or make a sound. In it was a forceful drop from a less-than-light person. You almost never see accessory furniture perform so well.5Not so niceBought two of these awhile ago and you get what you pay for, looked good for a while and then started to rip and the faux leather wearing away. Both look like this one2It's nice, but I'm unsure if it was meant for heavy useI wouldn't say I'm unsatisfied with this product. I have my feet/legs up on it for around 6 hours every day and have for the last few months. The buttons on top are getting very loose and I fear it's only a matter of time before they come off entirely. However, this ottoman has seen VERY heavy use. I never take my shoes off and am constantly pushing it closer and further away from me using my shoes on top of it to do so. Had this thing seen normal use, I'm fairly positive it would be holding up better. If it were possible to give 4.5 stars, I think that's what I would give it. It's good for the price, but those buttons and the way they are attached is somewhat of a faulty system in my opinion.4Nice, BUT...This is a nice ottoman, EXCEPT that 5 weeks after we received it (and one week outside Amazon's return window), one of the buttons on top came apart. It looks like the button was not crimped properly. This may not sound like a big deal, but it ruins the the whole thing. We've tried several ways to put the button back together, but it won't stay together. An upholstery shop or a special tool is what it needs.I've now seen other reviews of this product with the same problem, so it's a problem the manufacturer and Amazon should know about. If I can return this one, I'd order another one1Great size, great look.Ordered two and they are beautiful. Legs were super easy to install, no tools required. Perfect spot for the remotes and for serving snacks in the den.5Poorly made, did not survive the first useJust received this ottoman yesterday and rested my feet on it an hour or so. This morning I noticed one of the 4 buttons on top has fallen apart. Now I have 3 original brown buttons and one broken, bare metal base. Unacceptably poor construction!1
