Great help toolI purchased these because I recently broke a finger on my dominant hand and getting shoes and boots on and off is a bit of a challenge these days. This tool is a huge help pulling on my sneakers and boots and all shoes with a tab on the back. I also find it helpful to tighten the laces. I don't pull on two shoes at once, but I put one by the front door to assist pulling on my boots when I am walking around in slippers, but need to put on boots to go out and one in the bedroom upstairs for when I get dressed in the morning.5Roma Boot Pulls With Handle - Better than a finger hook.Never used boot pulls before, having a finger to hook into the pull and all. But, now I will always use these Roma Boot Pulls instead of crooked finger: I do not have to bend over as far.Sure am glad they are larger than Roma tomatoes. This was not a wife approved comment: She just shook her head and walked away.5Boot Pulls???? I call them Arm Extenders!I'm a "Senior Citizen" AKA Old F*rt...every year my arms get shorter and my feet further away. These pulls are a real helper. I don't wear boots, the "boot" pulls help with my slippers, my mukluks even socks. I slip into slippers and the backs get crushed down...boot pulls to the rescue..slide the hook...pull up the backs..now slippers don't "slip" off my feet first step...mukluks? I can get my toes in ok...boot pulls to the rescue again...loose knit tops, hook the boot pulls in, pull up my mukluks..you get the idea..the boot pulls add 7" to my hands...a big part of my Ol' F*rt dressing aids...."Try it you'll like it"5Works better then a shoe horn!I never knew why boots and slippers have small loops on back. I use a one to help me put my slippers on, my husband used one on his work boots! We love them our foot wear goes on easily.now! Highly recommend5Very powerful ally in my boot-wearing ability! These are sturdy wonderfully-made boot pulls! They have changed my life and enhanced my joy in wearing boots as before I was helpless unless someone else was around in getting my multiple boots pulled on as I have arthritis in every "pulling" joint! I am ordering more of these for my two sisters!5Boot PullsMy husband is 76 years old and cannot bend over far enough to grab his loops on his boots himself due to a recant hip replacement. He just needed that extra few inches that these boot pulls provide. He is now wearing his boots again.5Well-made and work wellThese boot pulls make it a lot easier to get my boots on. I don't have to reach down as far to get my boots pulled on when I use these pulls. When my back and legs are stiff, which is often, that makes a difference. The pulls are made with steel rods that are plenty heavy enough and are pinned into the wooden handles.5Like having your own personal boot valetGot some no lace snow boots for Christmas a few years back but they were very hard to pull on and take off so after a few times wearing them, I put them in the closet and their they sat until now. One day it snowed quite heavily and I saw them in the closet and figured that over time they would get easier to put on but nope. They were still hard to get on and off. Bought this to help pull them on and even though they are still somewhat tight, this tool really helps the struggle.5Pulling On My New Boots Is Now A SnapThese boot pulls are wonderful! I just bought a very expensive pair of Lucchese 1883 boots via the internet with the stipulation that they could not be returned except for manufacturing defects. As is the case with most custom boots, it can take awhile to break them in so that they fit properly. However, my problem was that the boots were so hard to get on that I couldn't wear them to break them in (I have a very high instep which caused the problem). Anyway, I worked with the boots for several days rubbing them with Bick 4 Leather Conditioner while I watched TV. Oh, yeh- Something that I failed to mention is that I have arthritis in my hands which makes it even more difficult to pull the boot straps with my stiff fingers. Not wanting to waste $500 on a pair of beautiful boots, I searched Amazon and found these Boot Pulls. At just under $8.00 a pair including two-day shipping (I have an Amazon Prime account!), I decided to give them a try. They arrived yesterday, and I immediately tried them out. They were great! With the pulls, I was able to slide my feet right into my boots with much less effort. Now I can wear my new boots around the house all day, so that they are now breaking in very well. These pulls appear to be well-made and are a must for anyone who wears western or slip on boots on a regular basis.5I now have one TOO! Bought these for my husband's boots and since he only uses 1 at a time - I stole one for my tight tennis shoes!!! Wow - I wished I knew that the loop on the back of the tennis shoe was for a boot hook!!! 5Better than expected. These items worked better than I expected. Since there were no moving parts, the only thing that I thought might be an issue was strength, but they have proved to be plenty strong enough for the job. And as I said, I was surprised how easy putting on my Western boots suddenly became. I have one pair (out of 16) that were such a struggle to put on that I had quit wearing them. I've worn them twice now since I got these hooks. I'm totally satisfied.5
