A SIMPLE PRODUCT I CAN'T LIVE WITHOUTI make egg salad quite often as well as chop up eggs for other salads. This is the handiest llittle tool you will ever run across. I've had one for years, and I tried to find a new one to no avail (it's quite "old fashion"). My friend found it on Amazon (should of thoght of that myself) and I ordered two (can't be without it). You put your hard boiled eggs in a bowl and just start choppiing ... so much easier than a knife You just can't imagine It makes this prep job in the kitchen soooooo easy and I'm surprised that a lot of folks have never even hear of one. For such a small price, it does a big job. Buy one to keep around--especially for the price, you won't regret it. (Stocking stuffer for young brides).5Totally pleasedI work at a seaside snack bar and grill and we use this cutter to make tuna, chicken, egg and shrimp salads daily, year in and year out. In the three years I've been there, we've never broken or had to replace one. They make quick work of any meat chopped so I ordered one for my home. Totally pleased with this addition to my kitchen.5Americana quality made chopperKwik kut has been in our kitchens for many decades. Glad to see they are still around. Super useful and reliable like a hammer! Great for chopping up taco meat, pulled pork, egg salad, nuts, and veggies. I wish they would buff the handle edges a bit more, they are a little too square, but only noticeable after chopping several chicken breasts lol. One of these days I will try the serrated version.5Not worth it!Its very flimsy and not sized for the human hand. LOL... Definitely not worth the $7 bucks maybe $3. Tried barely chopped had to buy the Hand Grip product. Paid a little more but worth it to have something last longer.2Flimsy, poor quality!I have had a couple of these over the years and sold or stored them when I moved. I needed to order a new one so resorted to this purchase. This is very flimsy. It bends with ease. I used my older ones to chop veggies and nuts and intended the new one for the same purpose. This one will not withstand the same use. I doubt it will last long just because it bends way too easy. Quite disappointing.2WORKSNever knew these existed until I saw my Italian cook friend using one. She told me she would never be in a kitchen without one, and was shocked I didn't own one. She reached in a drawer, grabbed her second favorite one and handed it to me saying, "Use it in good health." I almost ran home to cook up chicken and boil some eggs to use it. I love it so much I decided to purchase one as a gift. These are NOT easily searched for, even on Amazon. I hunted and hunted. Food chopper isn't what my Italian friend called it. I will ask her again (I forgot. I forget things.) If I remember to ask her, and then remember what it is later, I'll come back and update. The person who received the gift had absolutely no idea how to use it, either. We did it together..I tell you that to tell you this..Made very well. Comparable o the one in my kitchen. Good purchase.5Tip: use steel bowls to chop your food and ...Tip: use steel bowls to chop your food and when you chop, chop down with a twisting motion, left and right, in time you will develope a consistent motion, I can chop a can of tuna and olives in no time. Got to tell ya, have to give amazon credit, I bought this years ago at a country store in Vermont on a ride. I wanted to get another one for a friend but no local stores carried them. I said what the heck Amazon might carry it and they do.5Man size chopper My wife always asks me to chop the cabbage for the coleslaw and the chopper she had was too small for even my medium size hand. This wider handled unit is MUCH more comfortable! The pointed cutter blade also requires less pressure to cut the cabbage. I should have bought this years ago! 5It's a collard chopper!I looked all over town for this the day before Thanksgiving and couldn't find one. What's more upsetting are the looks I got when I described it as a "collard chopper"! This long handled device was enjoyed by our grandmothers who knew, when you boil a big pot of greens, you've got to chop those suckers up and the easiest way to do it is AFTER they've cooked. The long handle means you can chop and chop and not burn your knuckles. If you make your greens with lots of "pot liquor", just use a big slotted spoon to scoop out your greens into a bowl, chop them, then either put them back in or ladle some pot liquor into your serving bowl. This would also be good for chopping up cole slaw fixins, egg salad, chicken salad, potato salad, or anything that needs to be roughly chopped. I haven't had mine long, but I doubt it's the same quality as granny's chopper, which lasted her 50 years and didn't have a speck of rust. It feels too light, and the wood isn't heavy in my hand. I'll update the rating if it breaks on me, but so far so good. If I get a few years from it using it once or twice a month, I'll feel like it's worth the price. Otherwise, I'm going to be checking antique stores and ebay for a vintage real deal chopper.4Best Chopper and cheap also.I bought a chopper like this from a Church years ago. I have been using it almost daily ever since. It s easy to use for salads. Chopped eggs for sandwiches and I use it to chop up my cornbread and biscuits for dressing. I loaned the old one to one of my daughters and haven t seen it since. All of the other fancy choppers don t measure up. I am so glad I found this one on Amazon. My go to place for anything I need.5At long last, it is MINE!My mother has one of these that is 40+ years old. I have been looking for one for the last 20 years. I finally saw the Kwik-kut on the handle and boom, here is my very own chopper! Works great on nuts for baking and cleans up far easier than any of my electric choppers!5chops well, seems sturdy Got this to replace one of these that I inherited from my mother that was about at least 60 years old (hope this one holds up as well.) So far very happy with the chopping results. Looks very durable and the longer handle seems to make it ergonomically better at chopping than my older version of a similar product. 5
