So soft and gorgeous color!!This quilt is a beautiful color, nice light weight and super soft!!! I have only washed it once but I think it will hold up well!! It is absolutely perfect for my daughters princess room and her first big girl bed!!!!5Not suitable for vacation rental or hotel industry, or even home use.I am so disappointed. I ordered 7 of these bedspreads, 4 twin and 2 queen, for our Airbnb vacation home. Not only are they too small, as in they barely drape over the sides of the mattress, but after only the second washing, on a gentle cycle, one of the queens already came apart. I ordered these for our busy season, but they have proven to be unacceptable for guests. Again, first, guests can't appropriately cover with them because they are just too small. Secondly, one fell apart after 2 gentle washings. NOT GOOD for Airbnb, vacation rental, or hotel businesses that need better ware and true to size products. I wanted to call and speak with the seller, to see if they can rectify the problem, but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I am totally out on the cost of these, and will have to pay more money for new bedspreads to replace these. I would love to see some kind of resolution.1Great quilt for the priceGreat quilt for the price. I manage an AirBnb that gets a lot of wear and tear. This quilt is just heavy enough for a top quilt, but lightweight enough to be able to wash/dry quickly. Not super great quality but it does the job. I was surprised at what I got for the price. I spent the money I saved on pillows and you'd never know how much I paid for the cover. Bed looks elegant with the emphasis on the pillows. When this one wears out, I'd buy again. My dogs haven't trashed it either and they are on there often. :D Able to sleep comfortably in the summer with only cover, in spring I used a flannel sheet as well.5Be forewarned...This is not a bedspread type product. The picture shows what I would call a bedspread with the edges going to the floor. This is a quilt or comforter type spread that requires a bed skirt (at least for the queen size...would be a little longer on a double bed but I think a skirt would still be needed). It turned out to be perfect for my queen bed and I can still use the bed skirt I had. It's a beautiful, warm shade of purple; some of the others I looked at looked like they might be a bit garish, but this purple is vibrant and really pretty. The fabric is soft and "cottony" and because the color is true on both sides, it's actually reversible. I'm hoping it will hold up through washing, but at this price, I almost don't care. I will post again once I wash it, but for now, I'm very happy with it.5Pros and Cons
I would initially give 2.5 Stars if we could (Amazon really needs to consider allowing Us half-Stars; everybody's been saying so for YEARS):PROS: Shipped/received quickly. Appearance and over-all quality of construction is good. Washed in cold water and dried on low heat per product instructions and came out just fine.HOWEVER, this coverlet/spread has a very strong, unpleasant and irritating "Made In China" chemical odor that permeates not only the bedroom, but a large adjoining area of the house, which was not removed/abated by a cold-water wash. I'm going to try washing it in warm water with a lot of extra detergent and extra rinsing and see what happens next.Also, as some Reviewers have noted, the Queen size is Full/Queen, is undersized for a Queen, and does not fit a Queen size bed as it is pictured in the item description. I will be using this merely as a protective dust-cover (I have dogs and cats who dirty-up my bed constantly) so I don't care that it doesn't fit properly as a bedspread, but if you DO care, don't buy this for a Queen bed.
2WRONG in every way! READ THIS!Am returning. Listing picture shows oversized bedspread size. This not a bedspread, not a bed coverlet, not a blanket. Picture is outright deception. Listing has one dimension, item packaging has another. I did not measure what I received, because once I opened the plastic, I looked at and felt the fabric; it is crap. Very poorly stitched by a poorly programmed computerized machine. Also the one I was sent was obviously a repackaged and returned item. I spent years selling custom furniture, fabric and bedding. This item should be listed as a bed throw based on the actual packaging, but how are we to know that, if the dimensions are incorrect in the item listing???1I ordered a king size expecting for it to cover our mattress like it shows in the picture on the listingDon't order if you're looking for a blanket that covers the side of your mattress. All around very disappointed.1If ordering more than one, beware of dye lot differenceI'd like it a lot better if the dye lot was the same across all quilts. I bought this as a couch protector, so I bought two at first. They looked quite nice on my couch, so I bought two more shortly after of the same color so I would have a set to swap out from when one set gets laundered. The next two were not the exact same color. Where the first two were the exact same chocolate brown, the next two were less brown and more of a reddish brown- and they weren't even the same. The color didn't bother me, but the fact that I now had 4 quilts in 3 different colors when they should have been all the same. At the very least, since I use one on a couch and one on a love seat, if I had two that were the same and other two were same, then it would look ok.If you are just buying one, then know that it might be chocolate brown, or a reddish brown, or somewhere in between. If buying two, know that they might not be same exact color.On the plus side: The quilt washes well, there is some shrinkage but not too bad. It is very light weight and even the King size fit in my washer no problem. It is overall attractive and plenty big enough to cover a bed and pillows.3Sizing off!! All sizes the same!I purchased three two queen for twin bed one queen. Then I bought king size for king bed...after receiving all four at same time I couldn't believe it they were all the same measurements. Width wide length short. No wonder they are so inexpensive; I'll keep as extra blanket not worth trouble returning. Who in the world is manufacturing these? Don't buy ...waste of money if your looking for a bedspread or quilt.1
