Don't believe a word in the description. All lies. This candle is not wax, not scented, doesn't have a moving wick, and is made of the cheapest plastic you can imagine. Don't be fooled. it's not by the reputable Luminara company that makes a beautiful, albeit expensive, product. I have real Luminaras which is what I thought I was getting, and they are fantastic and well worth the price. Buy them at Pottery Barn. You won't be disappointed. This seller, Kinkor, is a fraudulent criminal and should banned from selling on Amazon. Just read the feedback they have received. I've learned my lesson. Always read a seller's feedback, and NEVER EVER purchase products that are shipping from Asia. 1Developed a crack after 2 months I loved how this candle looked, but I recently noticed that it had developed cracks, first on the top and now there is one long and deep crack the whole length of the candle as well as all around the top part. The light still works but the candle looks terrible. This should not have happened on such an expensive item. And I can't return it since it's been a little more than 2 months since I purchased it.Update: The seller contacted me right away and suggested I ask for a refund; they even sent me the phone number for Amazon's customer service. I contacted Amazon and described the problem and they right away said they would refund the item, which they did. I appreciate their willingness to give me back my money even though the return deadline had passed. I will probably buy another candle since I really like these and hope that the new one is without defect. 1I LOVE these candles so much that I bought 4 of ... I LOVE these candles so much that I bought 4 of them in different sizes. The "wick" moves and looks like a real flame. I put one in my front window during the Holidays. It looked so realistic, that my neighbor across the street came over to look to see if I had actually put a real candle in my window. He pointed out that since it looked so real, the fire department might knock on my door at night if I didn't turn it off when my family went to bed. He had a point. These candles use very little power, and I still haven't had to change the batteries even though I have let them run all day, every day, since the holidays. 5BEWARE Unfortunately I had to at least give this product 1 star. It deserves none. The description on this product is completely inaccurate. I did not receive a LUMINARA candle, but a cheap, non-flickering, LED light. 1Made a challenging interior design feature possible I wanted to dress up some 2nd floor columns with wall sconces that would have candles inside, and thought it would be neat to have them illuminate at night. The location would make real candles nearly impossible to light, so these candles fit the bill when used with the remote accessory. The candles are real vanilla-scented (not overpowering by any means) candles with electronics and a battery compartment inside. The flame is extremely realistic when viewed from most angles. When turned off, the flame is of course still visible but not illuminated, making them not so realistic when not in use, but in my case that really didn't matter because they are mounted high up on a wall inside tinted glass sconces.I provided images to give you an idea of the illumination you can expect, as well as to show you how well the remote works. The illumination is very realistic, and the remote works from downstairs. I simply point the remote at each candle and press the button. Voila! Instant ambiance!The remote must have a narrow transmission field, because I can't get both of them to turn on with one keypress if I point the remote between them, but I'm just happy it works at all from about 20ft away at an upward angle.These aren't inexpensive, but I've seen them go for twice as much in specialty stores, so I'm very happy with these purchases from Amazon (two candles and a remote). 5NOT Luminara and NOT Wax - JUNK! My candles FINALLY arrived and they are complete junk! These are NOT Luminara candles, nor are they WAX candles. What I received is a box of extremely cheap plastic candles that were shipped from China! The flame is a joke and barely lights and then blinks off and on but doesn't "flicker" like a quality Luminara candle does. I have requested a refund! Either they shipped me the wrong product or this is a complete scam! These are definitely NOT as advertised! 1All right, I guess. After a few tries these have been working well--so far. Of the first two I bought, one did not work at all. As I had the second one up and running, I mirrored the (fresh) battery polarity and still nothing. I gave up and returned it. Then the timer for the replacement I ordered was not functioning. It would not turn on at the designated time. Tried a few times, gave up, and returned that one too. The replacement seems to be working fine. I am surprised at the inconsistency of the quality given these go for $30 each. Costco sells (usually late summer/fall) a set of three a bit smaller in circumference than these for about $25-$30 I believe and they are like an atomic clock. They turn on each night at the exact time and the batteries have been in there for close to a year. 3Buyer beware, knockoffs! This item comes from China, clearly a misrepresentation of product. Stated it was by Luminar for LampLust it is Not! Stated it was remote ready it is Not! Stated it was ivory in color with a vanilla scent, it is Not (cheap white plastic)! Ordered 11/10 arrived 12/12 then only after seller was contacted a second time! Tracking number was not valid. Returning them is cost prohibitive because they arrive from China! I was given NO indication they came from China, I would NEVER have ordered them. Extremely disappointed, I have numerous other Luminar flameless candles and never had an issue nor ever disappointed . 1Buyer Beware, Not Luminara!!!! The description on this product is completely inaccurate. I did not receive LUMINARA candles. I'm deeply disappointed that I paid so much for cheap, non-flickering, LED lights. 1This is a disgusting fake. FRAUD This is a disgusting fake. FRAUD! This is not a luminara candle. It is a cheap plastic tube with abhorrent LED lights. No moving wick. It does not feel like wax - it does feel like cheap plastic. I have a real luminara candle - that is awesome. Awesome can only be applied to this candle as a way to describe the awesome lack of ethics the seller has. This one is a disgustingly cheap fraud. If you want to give your money to con men - this is the way to do it. 1
