Leaks a Little, But Looks Great and Priced ReasonablyI looked for a couple of weeks for a FOAM soap dispenser that looked nice and didn t cost a lot. I finally decided on this one. Ultimately, I m happy with my purchase because the product looks great and is priced reasonably. My only complaint is that the dispenser leaks slightly (not like pouring out) from the bottom of where the pump screws in if turned on it s side. Turning it on its side is not something that I do often, but when it s full and I go to move it occasionally, it has leaked and it s aggravating to clean up since it s soapy. However, given the lack of good other options out there in my price range, I would repurchase this item.4Perfect amount dispensed! Wife bought those for the homemade soaps she makes with essential oils and they are fantastic! Considering she spent lot of money on essential oils and other necessary non toxic ingredients to make the soap, it is good to know this foaming dispenser releases only a small amount of soap, so nothing is wasted, yet it is plenty to wash your hand properly. They look nice, match our bathroom decor and the kids love new "healthy" fragrant soaps! They are made from quality, thick glass, which is important when you are dealing with essential oils. 5High Quality and LargeI purchase two new soap dispensers last week and this one is far the best I have purchased over the last ten years. I purchased the green-brushed and love it so much that I donating the other dispense that I purchased and buying another one of these in Sprue aqua color for my other bathroom.I didn't have any foaming liquid soap but followed the instructions and used five parts water to one part regular liquid soap. It works like a charm.I originally decided a foaming soap dispenser would be better than a traditional because the glycerin liquid alone takes too much effort to rinse off unless you a tiny bit.I highly recommend this foaming soap dispenser!5Perfect!!I bought this to use with my YL Orange Blossom Face Cleanser. To stretch it! It works perfectly!! You need very little soap and this bottle foams great! A plus is that it s great right in the shower... I was worried that the lid would tarnish but I ve kept it in the shower for a few months now and no issues with that. And it s a great weight... not flimsy at all but not too heavy. Perfect!!5Don't buy foaming soap, buy this!I had another foaming soap dispenser prior to this one. After a short while the pump mechanism always got stuck and made a mess. I've had this one for a while now and it works great. No sticking, and it looks nice too. Foaming soap is such a rip-off. It's basically liquid soap with water added that you're paying for. I mix about 1 part gel soap to two parts water in this pump and mix well by shaking. This gives a nice foaming soap. Different liquid soaps may need different amounts of water added to them. You can experiment to see what ratio works best for you. I don't have to refill too often and my supply of gel soap lasts and lasts. Make sure you mix the soap and water well or you will get the sprurting of water and/or soap that some reviewers complained about. And for goodness sake, don't fill this with foaming soap. You're just paying for water!5Works well This works well and looks good.Have bought several glass foam soap pumps.The pump usually starts getting stuck or doesn't pump smoothly after using them a few weeks or months, which renders them useless.I have used these for over a month and so far no problems!I love love love that it's glass.If you make your own foam soap with essential oil, you want glass since the oils can break down the plastics- the plastic then can leach into your product etc...don't have to worry about that with this pump- it's a solid foam soap pump. 5Exactly what I wanted *updated*I overwash my hands (understatement) and for whatever reason I find the thick liquid soap kind of gross. I was able to create foaming soap with the thick one, reusing the original foaming bottle but it just didn't cut it. My nails have suffered from overwashing so after reading a review from someone else who creates their own liquid soap using Dr. Bronners, fractionated coconut oil, distilled water, and essential oils I just had to try it. Rather than purchasing two of these foaming soap dispensers I made my first rational purchase on Amazon and started with 1. The results, amazing. Naturally I wanted the clear frosted dispenser with the chrome top which only sells individually (as opposed to multicolors that come in a two pack). Needless to say, I waited a bit to confirm the dispenser wouldn't clog with normal use and then went ahead and purchased the second. There is some soap residue that can collect at the top but again, it doesn't clog and it goes away with simply running hot water over it. It's a solid soap dispenser, made of glass and it works beautifully. I cannot recommend it enough. If for any reason that changes I'll update my review but so far with extremely frequent use in both bathroooms, zero issues. Also... unlike every other soap dispenser that somehow houses water/soapscum underneath, this one does not!! Huge bonus! And special thanks to the lady who posted her soap recipe which has given me lovely lavender scented, gentle and effective foaming soap!!*****Update*****These lasted just short of a year before they started clogging frequently and the silver color started coming off. I was constantly running the dispenser under super hot water to unclog it and using something sharp to get rid of the crusty soap that was lodged. Eventually I had to throw away both of them that I purchased. They seemed like the perfect solution but unfortunately that wasn t the case3The glass bottles are good. Replacing those with the ones from the "method" one time use bottles I take from work as they run empty.Disappointed because I bought these for the brushed nickle look and have to replace with the generic white foamers.3Doesn't last long I bought two sets of these pump bottles. The tops were plastic, not metal, which is perhaps why after about 3-4 months 3 of the 4 bottles totally stopped producing foam. Instead, liquid just dribbled out of the spout. In all three cases, the foam dispenser suddenly stopped working - didn't matter if the bottle was full or half full. I couldn't find a cause and assume that the pump mechanism just doesn't hold up for very long. Wouldn't buy again. 2poor quality Two weeks after I got it, the pump doesn't pop back up. I gave it one star only because it looks nice. 1Mold in the foam maker/dispenser chamberWe ve made our own soap for years and I was excited about this purchase. It has worked fine for us and we ve had it for almost a year. What I m sad about is that there is black mold inside the dispenser and I can t get to that part to clean it. It s a clear container so you can see it which is nice to know there is a problem but why is there mold in my soap? I decided to leave a review since I m on Amazon right now specifically to find a new dispenser because I can t handle this one anymore. If there was a way to take this piece apart without breaking it, I would just fix this one.3Very nice foaming soap dispensers These are very nice foaming soap dispensers. We are having our bathrooms remodeled and I didn't want those ugly, pre-filled, plastic soap dispensers on my nice new marble countertops. I just poured one of the bottles into one of these dispensers and it worked perfectly. I also used non-foaming soap and diluted it 1 part soap, 5 parts water and it works like a charm. I didn't shake the container, I just rolled it around several times until the soap and water were all combined. The bottles are a nice, heavy glass and the tops do not look like cheap plastic. They are larger than I anticipated, but I like that so they don't need to be refilled as often. They are a nice, simple design and will look great in any bathroom. 5Fantastic Product for the Price! These dispensers/pumps are wonderful. I didn't buy them expecting much. They are actually very high quality! I tend to not have luck with foaming pumps, and these are not like those at all. They don't get all mucked up, and make extremely soft, smooth foam.I was surprised how strong the glass was! Right after making some soap to put in it, I dropped it onto my ceramic tile floor. It didn't break!! Whew!They look so pretty in my kitchen and bathroom. They will match any decor, I'm sure! Get them! 5ONE HANDED Operation! -& makes a decent amount of luxurious foam!Foamers have always disappointed me. I had a cheap dollar store one that I used in the kitchen for castille soap in order to wash fruits and vegetables. It was OK. Then it broke and I tried some others - and they all sucked. The foam was so teeeny or they were hard to pump, etc. This one is PERFECT.First the green color goes perfectly with my green kitchen walls - even though it is a different color of green. The brushed chrome colored top looks nice and not cheap like a shiny chrome top would look. Plus the brushed chrome looks great with all the chrome in my kitchen. Love that it is glass as well - hopefully will last me a long, long, time.Second - the foam is magically luxurious - like a little dense cloud - and gives me enough soap to thoroughly wash a large vegetable or fruit. Every time I pump it I feel like I am in a spa - with the luxurious foam it makes.Third - it is super easy to use with one hand! That is what I really need - pump it with the same hand you are getting foam onto or holding the veggie with. It makes life soooooo much easier in the kitchen that way.I am in love with this foamer. I think I will be getting another for my bathroom - once I decide on a color....5Love the glass jar but pump doesn't lastLove the glass jar. The top is plastic, which is actually more functional than most other reviews I read where the soap made metal corrode in a hurry. I don't know how sturdy this will be long term, but so far it works very well. Have had for over 6 months with no issue! Just be sure you follow instructions of 1/5 castile soap to 4/5 waterUPDATE: 1 year later, the pump broke. No replacement pump available. The opening is not a standard size so can't find a replacement foaming pump or even a standard pump to put on it. Nor does it fit any lids, so I can't reuse the bottom for anything. I hate that it's now trash.4Super pleased!!! Just ordered 2 more! Absolutely love this dispenser so much that I just ordered 2 more! Works perfectly & after reading reviews about the metal pump coil rusting over time; I decided to also add a tablespoon of Colloidial Silver to my organic soapmix ... since rust and bacteria cannot survive with CS. As for the potential paint chipping or flaking off; maybe I will do a quick clear nail polish coverup to sustain it a bit. As for the pump sluggishness over time; the CS & periodic cleaning of the pump; will sustain a longer life span. If not; I will have a spare! Now; since the organic lilac Bonners Soap isnt clear; it makes the glass more sea-green than ocean blue. A touch of cosmetic-grade blue mica will take care of that too. Thanks; $10.00 is such a great price for such good quality!! :) 5Five StarsHave been using this, incident-free, for several weeks now. Time will tell if the pump head holds up well. However, for now, I'm very happy. It looks as it does in the picture, so it goes with the other bathroom items like I was hoping.The full bottle does last less time than an ordinary pump, but that's because it's foaming, and half filled with water.Perhaps I'm just stupid and have never used a refillable foaming dispenser before, but the instructions for filling threw me a little. Description shows soap in the bottom half, and water in the top. I thought to myself, "I shake this up, right?" but nowhere does it tell you too. I thought, maybe it pulls the water in from a mechanism at the top, and the soap from the bottom? No- you do indeed shake. I've done the scientific research so you fine folks don't have to.I gave this guy five stars, and I suppose, for all my wordy review, that speaks for itself. I'm satisfied for now.5
