Oil free stuffed omelette in 5 minutesWell, I didn't really think it would work, but it was worth a try. And it does work. I like that it encourages me to put vegetables inside my omelettes. I never bothered before. I will say a prefer the taste of eggs fried in oil. But if you want to stay away from oil, this gadget will do it. Clean up is easier. I am not sure using it is really any faster than using a frying pan. You still have to whip the eggs. Then you have to make sure you pour the eggs equally in each half of the gadget. I'd say it takes just under 5 minutes to prepare a stuffed omelette. To clean just toss in the washer. How the heck to you spell omelette? Evidently not the way I am spelling it!4It works wellIt isn't really an omelette if you don't fold it, is it? It works, but you plop one half over the other half. There's no fold. You have 2 pieces. I also have a silicone one that works the same way, but it's not separate halves, and it folds. I use neither anymore. I got a Nordic Ware microwave-safe plate and do this instead - I pre-chopped all my veggies and meat in advance. I put a 10" microwave plate in the micro, and pour my whisked eggs/milk into the plate inside the microwave. Perfect circIe - cook it between 1m to 1m 20, depending on how many eggs. I open the micro and sprinkle my veggies and meat on one side, fold it over, and zap again for about the same time. I open again and sprinkle mixed taco cheese on the top and zap for 20-25s. My omelette comes out perfect every time. I don't need molds anymore. I gave mine away. Nothing wrong with them, but a plate works great. Mine doesn't stick. You may need some PAM spray depending on the plate. For Frittatas, I use a microwave bowl. Perfection. The leftover veggies & meat I use in corn tacos for next meal.4FailproofSuch a great price. I made this wonderful omelette with three eggs and some crabmeat. It looks and tastes delicious5Happy as a Puppy with this product.I read a lot of the reviews including the negative ones but decided to give the Nordicware omelette pan a try anyway. 1st omelette was a total success and I couldn't be happier. However, I didn't follow the instructions exactly. From my previous experience I know it takes no more than about 50 seconds to cook an egg in a microwave, so I only did the first cook stage for 1 minute instead of the 2 minutes as called for in the instructions. This left me some liquid egg to stir together with the cooked egg instead of a dried up egg doughnut. Then I stirred the eggs together. I used 2 eggs for this first omelette and whatever ingredients I had handy at the time. I used some white asparagus, fresh chives, white pepper and Szechuan pepper, bratwurst and bacon, a couple of sliced mini pearl grape tomatoes and some Gruyere cheese. As for the milk, I estimated the 2 Tablespoons called for by splashing in what looked right to me so not exact there. I was going to spray the pan with olive oil beforehand but forgot. Not needed anyway. The omelette slid out easy as you could please. It was slightly fluffy and tasty. None of that plastic feel that the negative reviews talked about. I'm sure the secret is not overcooking the eggs. For 2 eggs, only 1 minute for the first step instead of 2 will work much better I'm sure. A quick rinse and the dishes were done. All in all for me it was easier than the fry pan both for cooking and cleaning and the taste and texture was no different as far as I could tell. I like the shape of the omelette as well. I see many new egg sandwich creations in my future. The omelette shape will fit nicely between two slices from the Boule bread loaf of your choice or folded into a tortilla or some pita bread. You are only limited by your creativity. Bottom line is I would recommend this to everybody whether you are a bachelor, college student or a crusty old geezer like me who wants to surprise his wife with breakfast in bed without leaving a mess for her to clean up later. This first omelette was just for me but when I make a 3-4 egg omelette for my wife and and I or as the pan get older, I may update this review if I have any more relevant information worth giving. Suffice it to say for now I'm as happy as a puppy in a roomful of toys.5Quick easy breakfastI was not sure how well this would work but wanted to give it a try. I love a good omelet but rarely have time to even eat breakfast before I need to head out the door.I can use 3 to 4 medium eggs cook those for about 2 minutes then add meat, peppers and whatever else sounds good and another 1 minutes and it s good to go. They turn out nice and fluffy and clean up is really easy, no stick just throw in the dishwasher and it s ready to go the next day.5Perfect omelet makerI m on WW and don t want to use oil or butter to cook eggs and I have never been able to cook an omelet. This does both to perfection. I scramble the eggs with water or milk, pour it into both sides of the pan and add whatever ingredients I want. Very easy to use and makes an omelet in 3-4 minutes with almost no cleanup. Eggs don t stick to it, so it s very easy to wash. Just what I was looking for!5Omelettes in a snap. Make ahead & freeze! This is an awesome time-saver if you want to spend some time on the weekends making omelettes ahead to freeze. I bought 2 so that I could assembly line, constructing the next pair while the first is cooking. Perfect when only some family members want cheese, bacon, ham, or vegetables such as fresh spinach or blanched asparagus in season... yum! I usually make 2 one-egg omelettes at a time (one in each half of the pan) choosing not to flip at the end to make a single 2-egg; however, you can put 1-2 eggs into each half as you wish. These are very easy to use and to clean up afterward! Also easy for any family member to use when making a fresh omelette. I chose to cover the pan during cooking with a plate to help the omelettes cook through.5Awesome product and really works for your Keto and Adkins folks! LOW CARBS-No Problem, EnjoyI bought one of these because I was sick of fast food breakfast sandwiches and their added carbs.Thought I would give this inexpensive product a try not expecting much really. What a pleasant surprise when I made my first omelet with this gem. It was fluffy and just beautiful to look at but much better to eat!The clean up is a snap using a paper towel since the omelet easily slides from the pan. No need for spray or butter but I like to use a little olive oil or butter which is fine on a Keto or Adkins diet.Pile the ingredients in to your liking from cheese, veggies, meats and salsa for a little spice. In a couple of minutes you will have created a masterpiece which is way more healthy than one of those sorry fast food sandwiches.Buy two for people will beg to take yours.Great stocking stuffer for Santa! :)5Super Omelette Maker! This is a really great omelette maker!I bought this, along with one of the silicone versions, and while they both do an excellent job, this one allows for making slightly larger omelettes. The instructions say use two eggs, but I've found that I can easily use three eggs, along with some veggies and cut up hot dogs, and both sides fill up just right. The secret is to cook it open for about two minutes on Power Level 7 or 8, then again for another minute if the middles are still a bit runny. Once both sides are reasonably cooked, close it up (adding some grated cheese between them if you want - and why wouldn't you?) :) and then cook on high for about 30 seconds. Perfect double-stuffed omelette!!!5Perfect Well Done OmeletI followed the instructions, and they worked. Okay, every microwave is different, and altitude is also a factor, so your perfect cooking time will be different from mine. In my oven and location I cooked the omelet for 2 minutes. Then I added grated parmesan and spinach, closed the two sides as instructed, and let it sit for two minutes, as instructed. But here s the thing. If you want a slightly runny omelete, stick with your stove and your pan. Microwaves cook from the outside in. So unless you want a well done omelete with a little puddle of raw egg in the middle, you need to cook it till it s done. You ll probably need to experiment with the time and your microwave. I started with 60 seconds and kept adding addtional increments of 15 seconds till it was fully cooked.4No More Pan Scrubbing This is an awesome gadget. I crack three eggs and stir them. I put it in the microwave (open) for a minute and then stir with a fork. Put it in for another minute after adding cheese and some meat. Then close it and nuke them for 30 more seconds and slide it on the plate. A lot easier than using a pan and messing up the stove and a pan. To clean I put a drop of detergent in it and wipe it around with a sponge and rinse. I have never had a problem with food sticking to it. For the price, it's worth a try if your tired of scrubbing pans. 5
