Almost exactly what I was looking forI ordered 2 of these, and I like them enough to order 2 more! I read a bunch of reviews before ordering, so I'm going to try to respond to some of the criticisms others had.First, I'm using these to dry light to medium thickness sweaters, plus normal shirts, that can be machine washed but can't go in the dryer, so they've already gone through the spin cycle and have much of the water removed. The mesh is tight enough to support these without significant sagging, and the items dry nicely - no complaints about the amount of space between racks.Second, the racks aren't super-sturdy, but I feel they're sturdy enough. Keep in mind this is a folding rack; it won't be as sturdy as one that doesn't have hinges in the middle of two of the edges. I don't worry about it breaking when I'm using it or folding/unfolding it (which is super easy).Third, I've been drying shirts and sweaters up to a men's medium and haven't had significant issues with the size of the drying space.Third, if you want this in a specific space, measure before you order. This seems like a no-brainer to me, but I've seen a lot of reviews dock stars because it doesn't fit in the space they wanted to put it in. You'll need a space of 26" x 21" for the legs (which are inset on two sides) and a space about 26" x 26.5" starting about 4.5" above the space for the legs, to account for the top widening out. I have a large garden tub, and these are too small to fit on it with the legs down. It's worth noting that the legs will fold out as well as in, which can help it fit over a bigger bathtub - although you lose the ability to stack the racks. I would give them 5 stars - and I know this is a pie-in-the-sky wish - if they also had the little stacking knobs on both sides of the legs as well as the top, so customers could flip the legs on the first rack however they needed to adjust to their bathtub size (two out and two in, or whatever) and then stack other racks on top. That said, though, I am ordering more!4Too Big for the Top of Most DryersThis sweater dryer is much better than the curved one I had bought - which was just a pain to use - but it still has its issues. The main issue is that it's big. Unless you have a huge dryer, it will not fit on top. I have to fold in the back legs and lay it on top on the control panel. It does, however, fit a sweater pretty well. The one in the photo is hip-length and it fits. The second issue is that it can be a bit difficult to assemble because the side tubes have to be threaded through the mesh before first use, and mine were a really tight fit. I thought at one point I was going to tear the mesh. Once assembled, it's fine. The final issue may be a bit picky. The open spaces in the corners are right where the sleeves end up, so they fall through. It takes some rearranging to keep them from flopping through.Overall, though, it is sturdy, folds flat, and seems to dry my sweaters fast. I just wish it was a little smaller.4Not Acceptable I had purchased two other sweater dryers and loved them. I didn't remember where I got them and ordered these (4 of them!). After assembling, they pop up and don't lie flat. I am more than disappointed in this product and would never recommend them for anyone else to purchase. 1Great cat bed for the priceMuch cheaper than most cat beds. Our cat took to it right away, especially since we covered the mesh with a damp sweater. It made a nice hammock that he uses again and again. Even though he is a very heavy cat, the mesh sagged only a little and still held up. Highly recommended if your cat is picky about using other kinds of pet beds.5The QA isn't great on theseThe QA isn't great on these. I purchased two. The mesh on one is so tight that I could hardly get it on the frame. Now that it's on, it causes the joint to buckle from the strain so the frame doesn't sit flat. The mesh on the second one is so loose that if I put a heavish sweater on it, the mesh bows down so it's resting on the counter top below the rack. These are huge; they barely fit on my pretty sizeable counter and I don't think they fit on top of my dryer.3Very useful for drying hand wash items and storing awayI was looking around for something to dry my sweaters on since they are hand wash only and I live in an apartment. I looked at many items on amazon that appeared to be similar but after further review, many of them didn't fold up or break down. The ability of this item to fold up is a must have for me in the small amount of "extra" space I have. I simply place this on the floor in my bathroom with a towel or rug underneath to catch the dripping water and put my sweater on top. Now it can dry faster and have the air flow it needs. When I am done, I just tuck the legs in, fold it in half and throw it in my closet. It is not bulky at all. I am so lucky that I read other reviews before I ended up with something that was stuck in one piece that I would hate. You can even stack this if you want to, probably if you are only drying light items on top due to the water dripping down if you have an item you can't ring out.5ExcellentI bought 4 of these to dry my work clothing. They save space by stacking up neatly and although don't feel sturdy can actually hold a significant amount of weight (some of my winter sweaters are very heavy when wet). They don't fit on the top of my dryer like I wanted, so I usually put them stacked on the floor of an infrequently used guestroom. I also like that they fold up compactly for storage under the bed when said guestroom has inhabitants. I only wish they were slightly bigger because most of my tops hang over the edges.5HIGHLY RECOMMEND for cashmere / baby alpaca sweaters!! ...also cat hammockHave amazing expensive sweaters you don't want to dry clean? THIS IS YOUR new GO-TO.Dry cleaners ruined / shrunk / stretched a few of my cashmere sweaters. I thought: no more! I bought 5 of these bad boys. I probably need more. I now stack them when I use them saving me tons of money and keeping my sweaters in perfect condition. When you use them, you can stacking them like a tower, super high. When not in use, they fold up flat easy for storing. This has changed my life. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!Also, my large ragamuffin cat thinks they are a kitty hammock apartment building. I've found him choosing which "floor" to move into when they're out and stacked.5Works For MeI got this so that I could dry silk "thermal" underwear after washing the items on the ultra-delicate cycle in my washing machine. It totally meets my needs. There was a little assembly required - inserting two PVC pipes through two sides of the mesh and then inserting the rods into the frame. Assembly was simple. The mesh was already mounted on two sides. The hinges sag a little, so I'm not confident that the rack would hold up well to heavy sweaters. For the price and the fact that the legs fold, I'm satisfied.4The first is that all though I like the large drying areaI'm giving this 3 stars for two reasons. The first is that all though I like the large drying area, I think the legs should be adjustable on the frame. My dryer and washer are large front loaders and the legs are right to the edge. There are no rubber caps to keep them from slipping off if there is any vibration (the washer) close by. The second reason is when I put my thick heavy sweater on it, the middle kinda caved in. That could be easily fixed if the manufacturer added a small piece of plastic that can be inserted in the frame when its open and removed to fold up. I was able to put it on the edge of the bathtub but it required some balancing because the legs are plastic and slip. Again if rubber caps where included that you can put on when you need them and removed for stacking this would be a much better product.3Bought a couple of these for my wife's sweaters. ...Bought a couple of these for my wife's sweaters. When stacked they work well, but when you have just one, it sags at the middle hinge. Disappointing as Oxo is typically very well made.3
