VERY NICE QUALITY... This is a very high quality bathtub mat. Exceedingly long and exceedingly soft. The suction cups are very, very firm, requiring some effort to dislodge. And it does dry quite fast. The hanger on the end makes it easy to hang up to dry. Because it is so long, a hanger at each end would be even better, so one could reverse it after the top half has dried. (The knob where I attach it to hang is not high enough to allow the whole mat to hang freely to dry, so the bottom settles on the tub, making it stay wet longer. Not a really big issue.)I deducted one star because I am extremely thin and would have liked an even thicker padding. But because the pad is so very long, I have resolved the issue by only attaching the top suction cups and folding the mat in half so I am laying on a double thickness. It works!So if you are arthritic and boney, yes, this mat will work nicely if you are willing to fold it under so it is double thickness. Yes, I would buy it again, and yes, although expensive, it is well made and a lovely, soft material. 4Best so Far I have Fibromyalgia and arthritis and spend a lot of time soaking in hot water to get relief. My muscles, legiments, and joints are sore all the time and it hurts me to sit on a hard surface. I have tried four other products and none of them worked for me. I have washed this several times (followed directions that came with the product) and it came out smelling fresh and suction cups in good condition.The only problem I have is with the mesh covering. Unlike most people, my skin is very sensitive to touch and rough material. It hurts my skin to sit on it for very long. ( For me, the reason for four stars instead of five stars) For my condition I need a smooth surface for comfort. But, I will continue using it because it is an outstanding bath pillow.Please know this is a great product and the best I have found. The covering will not be a problem for other people so please give this a try, I think you will love it. 5Impressed Before this product my baths were minimal due to having back problems and not being able to get comfortable in a hard surfaced tub. This product is extremely comfortable, making it possible to stay in a nice relaxing tub for longer periods of time without the aches and pains. The product looks and feels like spa quality and is able to be displayed at anytime without having to worry about unpacking and packing it up every time you want to use it(although the carry case it came in is great for storage if you did not want it displayed). The size of the product was perfect for my tub and I strongly recommend this product to anyone who is sick of having aches and pains after getting out of a bath(which defeats the whole purpose of a "relaxing" bath). 5I was finally able to grab it and cut it loose and that helped a bunch (it was almost like there was a tag there and the plastic part ... I was *SUPER* excited to get this product but there are a few minor hiccups:1) On the pillow, there was something that kept poking out that made it very uncomfortable. I think this as as close to amazing as we can get and still allow it to dry afterwards and reuse it! ;)3) Drying it out afterwards is a bit awkward. It retains a lot of water that can't be easily wrung out. So, draping it over the shower curtain is definitely out as it will drip all over your floor/rug. So, I will prop it up on the side of the tub the best I can and then alternate a few hours later. That seemed to work well!4) It's a bit bulky to store. Thankfully I have some room!5) Kind of a lot of prep to make it work nicely ...Things I LOVE:1) I do appreciate the note that tells you step-by-step how to clean your bathtub, how to clean the suckers, and how to position it to make it work perfectly (and the I love and appreciate the wash bag)!2) Although a bit scratchy at times ... it is still WAY better than your bare bottom on a cold, hard tub. So, I will totally use this product again!3) I love the packaging that it came in! So nicely done!!4) I think I will really love this as a gift or to gift to someone. It's not really something you think to buy for yourself. But for a new mom (or even a veteran mom!), your mom (or MIL), sister-in-law, someone who runs a lot ... it would make a good gift! 4Heavenly Mat Well, I just took a very, long bath with music from Pandora, (Nora Jones Radio) and a glass of wine. I had such a relaxing time I didn't want to get out ( had to get another glass of wine) I was in the tub for so long I take showers , just don't have the time during the week.. This is the most comfortable bath mat that I have ever used. I have bought others only to have thrown them away. I have to tell everyone who loves to relax in the tub, but is uncomfortable after a while, this quilted mat will not only give you comfort but it will spoil you...buy one and enjoy... 5Don t pry off the mat from the tub; pry off the suction cups themselves This turned out to be a really good purchase, especially if you love taking baths. I was hesitant to buy it at first because I thought the price was a little steep. I was also thinking of just purchasing the standard one instead of the Deluxe.However, because the price difference isn t that much, I opted for the seemingly better version. I believe it was he right decision. Now, I can t speak about the standard one, as I ve never used it. The Deluxe version, however, is serving to be a necessity. My husband was in a wreck a couple of months back and taking a hot bath relieves his back pain (of course, with regular doctor s visits - therapy & chiropractic treatments included). The hard surface of the tub made it uncomfortable for him to stay in it for a longer period of the time.When he tried laying this down on the tub and taking his usual bath, he was able to stay in a lot longer in the tub. I tried it myself as well, and it s really comfortable.The suction cups are also the best quality. Make sure not to just pull the mat to unstick it from the tub. The suction cups are so strong that if you pull just the mat, it may tear it. I would always have to pry the suction cups themselves off of the tub.We also don t have hooks int the tub so after using it, we would rinse and stick it back onto the wall to dry. 5So comfortable; easy to use! I LOVE this product! I have whiplash and the pillow provides nice support for my neck and the deluxe model mat provides cushion for my aching back. In addition, I usually slide down into the tub because I m short. The pillow and mat provide the support so that doesn t happen. I have a semi-porous finish on my tub, so it s very hard to find a pillow that will adhere to that surface. But, this one has extra large and many suction cups, holding the mat in place. For anyone having trouble with that issue, the trick is to put the mat in before adding the water and press hard on each suction cup. The suction cups are easy to remove. Just empty the tub and slide them; my fingers have no problem reaching under the suction cups.So, all of you bath lovers out there, add your Epsom salts or whatever and relax away!! 5Worth it, a very comfortable bath experience Wonderful bed for bathing, easy to maintain with a washer and dryer (air flow cycle) and I store it unfolded. It makes it easier to relax in the bathtub, even to curl on the side, like in a bed! The pillow supports the head nicely for reading or watching a show (I put my iPad on the stool and watch my favorites while soaking). So far I've used the pillow around 5 times and it works really well for relaxation. The mesh fabric is surprisingly soft to the touch and this bed really elevates the whole bathtub experience!Few complaints are the reason why I removed 1 star:1. One of the suction cups fell off, there is no way to reattach it since it tore through the mesh fabric around it (maybe superglue would work, but then again, it will get soaked in the next use, hm..don't feel like dealing with that. Still, the pillow doesn't slide around even with one cup missing.2. It's not that easy to remove the cups from the tub, you need to be patient and use your fingernails to lightly lift them off one by one.That's why I skip the hassle and leave it to my hubby to lift them and roll the whole thing in a bag for washing. (or I just do it later when I'm done with creams, masks, teas and all the other other spa thingies us girls enjoy after a nice, relaxing bath)3. Watchout for the whole lavender flowers or any other whole plants you may put in the bath: the bits get stuck in the mesh and I've carefully taken them out when the mesh was dry. No harm done but something I haven't thought of when buying.All in all, I would recommend this bath pillow bed, I do enjoy baths and bathe instead of showering more since I got it! 4Bath Lovers Will Love This I have always bought the cheap, rubbery-plastic bath cushions in the past. They always end up growing mildew and mold in the pillow and around the suction cups, which no amount of bleaching can eradicate, and then begin to deteriorate- literally, fall apart in chunks - in the tub. Not to mention they just aren t that comfortable: little cushion and lots of bumpy suction cups underneath you.I finally decided it was time to upgrade to a quality mat, and was drawn to the idea that this one is machine washable. It is made from the same kind of plastic-y fibers as those shower poof sponge things, only much more densely and closely woven. My first impression was that it was slightly scratchy because of this, but once you are relaxing on it you really don t notice. What you DO notice is that it provides a good amount of cushion and the texture prevents you from slipping and sliding down on it.The suction cups are good sized (about 2 inches or so) and placed only along the edges so you don t feel them poking through at you. They hold the mat down excellently.The pillow is perfect for head or neck. I m even tempted to try repositioning the mat and see how I like the pillow at the lumbar area.The length of the mat is just right for most tubs. We have a larger soaker tub so it doesn t reach all the way to the end, but that s fine because neither do my legs (I m only 5 4 ).I have not tried washing this mat yet, and will update my review if any problems with mildew/mold arise, but I suspect this is a product that will last much longer than cheaper versions do. 5My prayers have been answered I never thought that there would be a bathtub mat out there that checks every feature off my dream list. I have spinal issues at the lumbar and cervical areas, as well as a flat fanny. I have to soak in epsom salt every day for almost an hour to relieve the pain, but the bath mats and pillows I had were never giving me enough comfort. I am so happy I found this one. This ergonomic pillow is cushioned and positioned correctly (no annoying squishy water noises). The bath mat itself is so thick that I no longer feel my bones on the tub. It s almost like taking a bath on a recliner! It arrived in a nice zippered bag with a laundry bag for washing. Now it s only day 1, but the suctions are large and firm. You get what you pay for!
