OK Quality Tweezers - Got a metal splinter from one of the tweezers first time i used it........Your luck may be better OR NOT These tweezers are functional and do come in an assortment of different styles. The quality is as expected for a no name, made in India product. The package states that these are for HARDWAREuse only. This means that they are not recommeneded for using on humans, and presumably animals. I did buy these to remove ticks from our dogs and Ifigured the rest would come in handy for other tweezing tasks. The quality appear to be fine, but the first time used one of the tweezers, i got a metal splinter from holding the tweezer. Thats why i gave it a 2. The possibility of getting a splinter when i use these is almost enough to make me want to throw them away, but i'll try them again before i do. Ido not think you should have to sand down a tol you buy to remove loose metal. Of course I decided to ignore the warning and used the tweezers that gave me the splinter to remove same splinter.Isee more and more reviews including mention of CA's Prop 65 warnings, which are on almost every product ever made, including these. So yes, these do have a warning which is odd for a product made of stainless steel. Of course, who knows what kind of contaminants or additives are in this 'stainless steel' made in a country that worries little about environmental conditions. 2Good set, great bargain, but BIG For the price I paid (under $10) and how useful they are, I'm giving these 5 stars. This is not a high-precision set of tweezers such as what I've used to place wires or work with items in the millimeter range. They are quite large, with the longest tool over 6" in length. The smallest tool is delicate enough for more intricate work and alignment was good enough to pick up some tiny screws. No rust was visible on any of the tools which is a common complaint I've seen in other reviews.I am using these to build model boats and the sizes are quite perfect for this work.Versus the set of medical forceps I own, this really can't be beat. Best analogy I can think is that it has more significant digits than is necessary for what I need. :> 5Great for the price These are great for the price. I really had to think how to review them, how highly to rate them. Yes, you can definitely find better tweezers from first-world manufacturers - and they'll cost you many times more than these. But as far as value for money goes, I'm very pleased. All the tips meet properly, and they seem to accomplish their several tasks just fine (and the set of six gives good variety). I started using them out of the box, without any tuning, for model building and just for being there in the tool chest when needed for whatever purpose. The tips aren't always evenly machined outside the points of contact. I can't say how stain/corrosion-resistant the "stainless steel" is - they are magnetic, though so (I was surprised to find) are my Swiss wafer tweezers . I collect old tools, and it does pain me to see some of the quality first-world manufacturers under pressure. But I'm glad to see Indian and Pakistani manufacturers providing good-enough quality tools for a price I can afford. too. The low price creates a market that wouldn't otherwise be there - I wouldn't be buying tweezers if they were much more expensive. 5Nice! I am visiting my daughter and need a set of tweezers to help her with a project. I have a high quality set at home that I have used for a number of years that costs several times the price of this one. Based on the price my expectations were on the low side. I was shocked when this set arrived. The construction and finish are excellent. After several days of use I think they are as good as my older set and will last a lifetime if properly used and taken care. 5Very large, but still useful These tweezers are very large. Much larger than I thought they would be. They're not medical tweezers by any means, so if you're looking for something for a first aid kit (What I was initially doing) don't get these! However, I'm a computer technician and have put these to use when working on motherboards and other various small computer parts, so they have gotten some good use. 4I love the size of them I bought these to get objects out of things. My daughter some how always manages to stick random small objects into other objects, then cry when I can't get it out. This set as so far save 5 beads, and I expect it to save many more items. I love the size of them, normal tweezers are sometimes to small to pinch and pull the objects. I have had no problems at all with this set, and the multiple different sizes allows me to get into almost any hole. 4Good for hobby and splinter plucking! Not too bad for the price. OK. The fit and finish on the tweezers are better elsewhere, but at a higher price. They would be good for for most hobby and around the house splinter plucking, but may not work well for precision work. The 6 different models included are a good mix of tools. For the money it's really a good deal. 4Good value Good set of tweezers for the price. Alot larger than what I had expected, I included a photo. Using it for taking apart electronics and adjusting stitches in leather. Not a really a high preicsion set, but feels sturdy during use. Somewhat rough in finish as other reviewers have posted. This set does not have a high polish, but rather brushed finish. The smallest one can probably do high detail work. Satisfied with what I got. 5Surprising quality for the price The "SE TW2-406 6-Piece Stainless Steel Tweezers Set for Hobby" were much higher quality and much heavier than I expected. The smallest one has an incredibly fine point (~0.6mm). They all are ground with a very fine finish, the outsides of the two longest being rounded towards the tips. They're extremely springy, with the inverted (squeeze-to-open) one holding quite firmly, and the one with the rivet slide clamping with quite a bit of force. Even the plastic sleeve/holder they come in is worth keeping (For the price, I expected these to be a basic set stamped from sheet-metal. They look better in person than in the pictures. I was pleasantly surprised when I opened the package.FWIW: I got these for working with a 3D printer and electronics, so heavy is good for my applications. 5What do you expect? These are pretty low budget tweezers. As an electrical engineer who has worked with a lot of tiny parts and used tweezers a lot I can say, these are really not that great. But on the other hand, this entire set costs less then what we used to pay for ONE pair of tweezers. I think that the pictures make them look just a tiny bit better than they are as well.OK now I will shut up because they are useful and cheap! But there IS a noticeable difference between these and expensive ones. But this will get you started and may be totally good enough for YOUR application. 3
