Customer Reviews
Great ProductMy regular brand was out and decided to try this product. It is a little pricey but well worth it. They soak up a mess very quickly and I seem to use less now than I did before. I plan on making these papre towels my main ones. They are that good. Highly recommeded5Price is "okay" but, quality isn't there. Not as absorbent as I expected them to be. We went through all in less than a month. These only lasted 3 weeks, 1 week shorter than I expected. I don't think I will be buying these again. I most likely will turn and buy VIVA paper towel rolls instead.3SUPER ABSORBENT/DURABLE & EARTH FRIENDLY PRODUCT!SUPER ABSORBENT & EARTH FRIENDLY!These things will clean up any mess. These absorbent paper towels are made of recycled paper and are very durable! This earth friendly product works better than those typical name brand products like Brawny and such!5Completely worthlessWhat can I say? It is simply one of the worst paper towel I have ever used. It is made up of paper thin 1 ply material. Which means I need to double up in order to use normally. For anything tougher? 4x is needed. Even then, it is not satisfactory. As it meets water, it will simply loose form (whatever little it had) and then shrink up.To summarize, I would not recommend it. Maybe if they are giving it for free, I'd consider it. Even then, it'd be a tough sell: too weak as a paper towel, yet not soft enough for poop duty.1Eco Friendly / Good EnoughI usually buy Bounty Essentials paper towels and so I am comparing the 7th Generation paper towels to these. Both are a step-down version of a full thickness paper towel, and both come in the select-a-size option. The weight and thickness of each seems similar. The 7th Gen towels are embossed on only one side. The other side is flat. Bounty is embossed all the way through. In the 2nd pic I held them up to the light. The 7th Gen towels are a bit thicker. I then soaked up a bit of water with each. The Bounty wicked the water better. 7th Gen pushes the liquid around a bit more. Bounty is definitely more absorbent, but it's a small win. I sprayed some cleaner, and the 7th Gen towel did a good job.Verdict: 7th Gen for being more eco-friendly. For my needs, a full size, full thickness paper towel is unnecessary most of the time. Bounty Essentials are perfect, and the 7th Gen seem to be as good for my purposes. As I go through the first roll, I may update this post. For now, I am satisfied with reducing my use of paper.4Just purchased these and they are great for the priceJust purchased these and they are great for the price. I can already tell I'm using less towels for comparable messes than the brand I was using (Bounty). Also love the convenience of having them delivered and not having to lug the cumbersome pack from the store.5AwfulThere are thin and feel like paper. They have no absorbency and tear every time you try to get one off the roll, so you end up with a piece of one. I've had recycled paper towels that were fine, these are just not.1Good, especially for the eco-friendly.These paper towels definitely do their job. I appreciate having more tear-off strips for half-width towels. Although Seventh Generation towels aren't the most absorbent paper towels I've ever used, they still do the job quite well, and don't fall apart when cleaning up spills. They're pricier than other options on Amazon, but I haven't found a better eco-friendly paper towel, regardless of price.I used to use the massive Bounty quilted paper towels that absorb a ton of liquid for each towel. Once I started reading and thinking about my personal environmental impact, I started buying Seventh Generation paper towels. Although paper towels are rarely an environmentally friendly choice, they're still a necessity in life (at least for now...).The fact is that Seventh Generation use at minimum, 50% post-consumer recycled content. Such a high amount of post-consumer recycled content is key.Even now, a lot of products get to say "recycled" even though the post-consumer content is 10% or 20%. This is a really low bar for recycled materials, and Seventh Generation's high recycled content reinforces, to me, that other companies should be doing much better.I still know that the three R's are Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle, so I still reduce and reuse my paper towels whenever possible (for things like cleaning up coffee grounds or wiping off counter tops -- never reusing after they get gross, though), but it makes me feel better to know that, no matter how much I use these towels, purchasing them reduces my environmental impact.5Great value and 100% recycled paperWe should not be using good, new, paper for things like paper towels and toilet paper. I will only buy these because they are made with 100% recycled paper, that otherwise wouldn't be used! No reason to cut down trees and use other resources just to clean up spills around the kitchen!5good inexpensive paper towelThese aren't as soft and strong as other brands, but they don't fall apart either. They clean just as well as expensive paper towels, but these are a little thinner. It's definitely worth the money savings -- the differences won't stop me from buying these again.4
