    Amazing new bed partner!I absolutely love this body pillow and I have had many, over the years. Most break down after awhile and just aren't thick enough to support my bad back. Reviews saying it's heavy are correct. 10lbs. You don't want to lift it from side to side during the night but I sleep pretty much on the same side so it works well. Be sure to break up the memory foam "pieces" of the inner core before the first use to fluff it up. I haven't had to repeat the process since. The pillowcase is amazingly soft and I wish they sold them separately as I would buy several more to rotate during wash time. Great therapy pillow for neck, shoulder and back pain. It's so big in the bed it now has a name, Fred! 5Very nice for pregnancy & non-maternity useI own 4 memory foam bed pillows from this company, which is why I decided to buy this as my maternity body pillow over other options. I didn't have a problem with its shape right out of the box, although I encouraged my partner to hit it a bunch. I feel that over a few weeks it's also become firmer on its own after some use. It is basically the width of our queen bed, so we use it and our normal pillows as a back rest for reading. Downsides are that it's a little heavy and a bit awkward to pull into bed when I use it as a body pillow, and I have a bit of trouble fitting my legs around it. Our cats don't appreciate the space it can take up. Big pros are 1) it's sturdy and you can wrap yourself around it; 2) it's super comfortable to hold onto; and 4) it breathes really well, much better than a regular bed pillow or the other body pillow a friend lent me. It does sometimes feel like having a third person in bed, but my partner isn't the jealous type so it's not a problem. ;) 4OMGWell I will say this, in other reviews they say its heavy...... NO LIE there I figured ah can't be near bad as they say.. well it's heavy. I just got it and as a disabled vet that spends his majority of the day in bed due to pain, I am already enjoying the benefits. I suffer chronic pain due to degenerative disk and joint disease and fibromyalgia and I am here to say this is a thick heavy pillow for you side sleepers. You will NOT find this on the floor in the mornings due to it's weight, but it is also plaible and light enough for you to pll around with your feet if you want it under your knees or to push it back to lay on your side with it between your legs (like I am right now) makes time suffering in bed soo much easier.Will get another to place behind me so I have something against my back for support as well. Con not tell you how happy I am I found this pillow.One thing alot may not like is right out of the bag it smells like new tires which to me ain't to bad, for me just takes me back to when grampa was still alive workin on tires ... good times good times 5Exactly what I was looking for!Edit 1/27/15: this pillow is still my main pillow and I still love it. The pillow has held up very well over time including quite a few washes (with the core removed.) The pillow case is still super soft even after I dyed it purple because white and I don't get along. I actually wish I could find sheets exactly the same. My only real complaint is how heavy the pillow is. Due to my medical issues I have had to change how I sleep and a huge heavy pillow is hard on me. I actually ordered a Comfort U pillow yesterday to replace this one though that had nothing to do with the pillow itself. My daughter is planning to "adopt" this pillow as soon as my new one arrives. Overall my positive review still stands and if weight were not an issue I would buy it again. I do believe we weighed the pillow at roughly 10lbs.I have had this pillow on my wishlist for ages so I was very pleased to finally be able to afford to buy it. It only just arrived, and I'm already in love. Since I'm down with the flu, I had the perfect excuse to get into bed and test it out and I have not been disappointed. I will edit later if my opinion changes, but as of now this is hands down the best body pillow I have ever owned.This pillow is heavy, as others have said its probably about 10lbs. It's also a large body pillow, but it's not excessively large or cumbersome. Its a two piece pillow with an outer fluffy "shell" of poly fill type stuff, and inner "core" of memory foam fluff. The outer part is machine washable after you remove the inner core. The fabric covering the pillow is amazingly soft and silky as is the pillow case it comes with.When this pillow arrived I did not smell anything from it. The pillow was folded in half inside its plastic packaging, and at first I was alarmed to notice that there were hard spots, flat spots, and soft spots and no uniformity. I quickly noticed the zipper, opened it up and pulled out the inner core. I spent about 5 minutes fluffing and then put the core back in, added the pillow case, and it was perfect.All in all I have no regrets. I have never spent 45.00 on a pillow before and I was concerned that I would regret the expense. I am very pleased to say that I feel that this pillow was worth every penny spent on it. As an added bonus, it came in a huge box (I ordered a pressure cooker at the same time) and my three kids are having a blast with that box right now which is totally giving me a chance to relax and enjoy my new pillow. It's a win win, for sure. 5Best Pillow Found YetThis body pillow is the best one I have had so far. Yes it is big, yes it is heavy, but those things don't bother me! To me it isn't "heavy" but it does have some weight to it, in a good way I would say. My boyfriend refers to it as the, "body," but we have a Queen size bed that includes the dog and me being full figured, so we need to upgrade to a King when we move for some more room, but for now we've managed to keep the dog towards our feet and the pillow becomes a barrier between us. My boyfriend sleeps fine let me assure you, so does the dog, and with this pillow, so do I. I like that it keeps its fluff, yes you can cause the divide in the middle at your knees BUT nothing some fluffing doesn't fix because it doesn't really divide in half like all the others do. I'm not sure if it's because it's filled enough or the type of filling that is used, but this pillow was made right! It comes with a pillow case so no need to buy one, it's soft and durable. I am SO Happy! :) 5... And OH the Pillow CASE!!!! Pillow Itself is wonderful too!I'm not quite sure why more people aren't RAVING about this pillow case but I've never felt anything like it! Spun from the silkworms to the Gods me thinks!!! The pillow itself is really nice. The soft and puffy zippered cover is almost a pillow in and of itself. Great quality, nice zipper and OH THAT PILLOW CASE. I need to figure out how to order another. I don't see the pillow cases on the Sleep Innovations page so I might have to call them.The pillow came in a very large box with the pillow folded in half inside. You have to take the inner "bag" with the memory foam chunks out of the zippered pillow like cover and then pull and shake and prod it vigorously for about 10 minutes to get all the memory foam chunks apart. I really worked it, then kind of manipulate them throughout the inner bag. The more you pry the chunks apart the nicer and fluffier and more even of a pillow you will end up with. It is a more heavy pillow because of the memory foam but I have a Tempurpedic bed and another Tempurpedic "body pillow" but it is nothing like this one. This one is BIG! I am 5'6 and with my knees barely bent and laying on my side the pillow extends FAR past my foot while laying on my side and hugging it. After pulling and tugging all the memory foam chunks apart (it is very compressed after being in the box), shaking it and then letting it sit on my bed for a few hours ... I was surprised how BIG and puffy it was later. It looks like another person laying under the covers.Some people complained about the smell. I barely noticed it. Once you get the memory foam bag inside the plush and fluffy zippered pillow cover and then in the soft as silk pillow case, I didn't notice a smell at all.Can you tell I love this pillow!? Can't wait to go home and go to bed! :)P.S. The pillow fluffed up much bigger than the pictures and more even after a bit more shaking and time for the memory foam to reinflate after being in the box. It looks very lumpy but it all evens out given time. 5So nice I bought it twice.When I originally bought this pillow it cost around $33, but then around Christmas time there was a fire in my house and I lost my precious pillow. I had no doubts I was going to buy the pillow again, even when I saw the price had gone up (I believe the pillow is made of nicer materials now which was the cause of the price hike). This pillow is huge, big enough to fit across the top of my queen size bed, and heavy- maybe 10lbs. It keeps my neck straight and supports my back leaving me with very little pain when I wake up in the morning, when before this pillow the pain would be unbearable. If you have your doubts this is your sign to buy this pillow. The quality is amazing, and it come apart for easy cleaning. No regrets. 5Just what I needed after hip surgery! I can't move it!Just what I needed! I am fairly young but had to have hip surgery. After two weeks in these boots things to keep me from dislocating my hip, I was able to sleep normally. I still have pain from muscle issues in that leg and was afraid I would hurt my newly fixed hip. Found this pillow ~ it is Perfect! I'm only 5'4" so it is big! It is heavy but it just what I needed to sleep on my side and prop my leg up. I can keep my leg level with my hip to ease the muscle pain. It does not flatten like other pillows and I can stretch my leg out and not run out of pillow. I tried king size pillows, they flatted and we're just not quite long enough. I like the heaviness because I can't move it while I sleep! I've slept better in the couple of days I've had my pillow than I have in years!!! 5A hemmeroid in a plastic bag.I love body pillows, but the kind I normally get go flat in no time, so I decided to spend a little more on the next one and purchased this. When it arrived, I was surprised that the memory foam was shredded instead of one solid piece - it does not state this in the description. It has odd construction, with the foam shreds being inside a case of their own, inside the pillow that will zip open. That is a good feature since the foam was all compressed and lumped together. I spent the better part of a half hour just trying to get the foam apart and "fluff" the pillow. I left it sit out for a about a week, since other memory foam products like this say to give it time to air out and fluff up, and there was not much more fluff than what I did the first day. Then I realized what a pain in the butt it is to get a body pillow case on this. I bought Newpoint International Inc. Microsuede Body Pillow Cover With Double Sided Zippers, Chocolate to go on it, and it does have zippers on both ends, but they do not extend the entire length of the end of the case, and I think that was part of the problem. But dang, it should not take 10-15 minutes to put a case on a pillow. I slept with it last night and it seems to be holding up okay. **Update** 2/4/14 While it has maintained thickness so far, I would not recommend this pillow. The memory foam shreds get mushed together and won't pop back up after use. I won't return it, but I will not be buying a second as I had planned. 3Five years use and still going strongI feel inclined to write a review since my husband and I have been using these body pillows for five years now. We love them! We are not small people, and most cheap pillows weren t comfy at all. You can really throw yourself on these. I m 5 7, hubby is 5 11, and pillows are long enough to hug and have support your legs at the same time. They are very heavy so takes a little effort to move them around in bed. The pillow cases they come with are super soft and have maintained their quality with weekly washings for five years now. I highly recommend these! 5
