The Hillary Nutcracker

Hillary Nutcracker Great collectible. I bought this for my son as a collectors item, so I am sure it will never be used. It appears to be made well.The only thing I didn't like, was the packaging it came in had no cellophane in front.But not a big deal if you aren't a collector. It is quite a conversation piece :-)2015-Update: My son still has this saved back and I found a Bill cork screw (lol) that goes with this product. I don't know why they didn't sell him with the Hillary one as I would have bought both, but fortunately I found ole Bill (still new) online somewhere else at a good price so now he has the whole set. 4 Strange, But Interesting. I got this as a present for my girlfriend, who for some odd reason collects nutcrackers. She has like 300 of them or something. So, I browsed Amazon and happened upon this Hillary Clinton nutcracker. After a moment of wondering whether this was an appropriate gift for a gal I'm dating ("Exactly what is he trying to tell me here?", I imagined her wondering), I realized this was the most original nutcracker I'd seen during my search. So I got it.I am happy to say that she loved it, and today it occupies a prominent place in her collection. And it's actually sturdily-built and functional, which not all collectible nutcrackers are.It comes in a flimsy cardboard box with a cellophane display window, as a doll might be packaged. Not real sturdy, but the package survived shipping just fine because as always Amazon put it in a sturdy cardboard container. So no dings in the product box cardboard or tears in the cellophane.So, while a Hillary Clinton nutcracker is not something I would normally purchase (after all, Hillary jokes are so passe these days), my ladyfriend liked it and I'm glad I got it for her. 5 Part of a Set Got this as a gift for family member. Works well and is great for starting conversations. Recommend purchasing the Bill Corkscrew, as well. Still waiting for a Chelsea-themed item (big mouth ice cream scoop?) to fill out the set. 5 Even as someone who leans toward the left, I ... Even as someone who leans toward the left, I found this to be a humorous addition to my household trinkets. As for holding up under its intended function as a nutcracker I am a little leery about the metal nutcracker incased in plastic and have not tried it yet. 5 One of the best gag gifts ever Got for a white elephant gift exchange at my grandparents' house this past Christmas, and it was a HUGE hit. So much so that I ended up buying a second one a few days later for my sister's birthday. I was kind of surprised that it actually seems like a legit, good quality nutcracker. It's pretty heavy, so it doesn't appear to be a cheap-o P.O.S., but it's still VERY reasonably priced. I don't think either recipient has used it to crack nuts yet, but I'm sure they'll have no problems when the time comes. 5 Excellent quality and price This was purchased fora die hard Hillary fan for Christmas. Excellent quality and price. This gift brought many smiles to its admires. Hilary was larger than expected. But, I don't think she'll be cracking nuts anytime soon. Thanks 5 Hilarious When I saw that the Hilary Nutcracker was ranked one of the "stupidest" gifts for Christmas 2007, I just had to have one as a gift for my political collector husband. (Of course, I bought it from Amazon, THE most reliable and fair retailer on the Web.) And, since a penchant for "stupid" must surely be genetic, I bought one for my parents, too. Well, since I like and admire Hilary, I do think the whole concept is "stupid," but as a likeness, the figure is nicely done. She has a pretty face and a nice suit and the whole presentation is not too insulting if you keep a sense of humor about the whole thing. The manufacturer could make a nutcracker of me, anytime! 5 For Hillary Lovers everywhere! Gave it to Michael Moore for Christmas! 5 Great Gift I got this as a gift for a staunch Republican relative and he loves it. It's detailed and durable. He can't wait to show it to his other easily-entertained friends who will also get a kick out of this. Highly entertaining (apparently). 5 Five Stars Had Bill and I wanted Hillary.
