They are NOT water proof... So, I bought these and no other, because I saw a video of someone claiming these were water proof. You would think that in this day and age, they would be. Well, they aren't. I bought the Camelia flower ones. Five came In my order along with a paper with instructions. I hand washed them and air dried them before use. I was excited to use these, I have to say, and then I stained myself really bad... So, they are nice and look good, but you MUST know that you'll stain your clothes. They also move all over the place because they obviously do not have adhesive or velcro to keep them in place. I had to use very tight underwear in order to keep them from sliding. I really wanted to love these and be happy with my purchase, but unfortunately I'm not. Do not recommend*UPDATE*I made my order on May 30, 2017. On July 4th I was contacted by Wegreeco(Company) to express how sorry they were in regards to my experience with the reusable pads. They asked me more in detailed questions about my experience and I replied. Finally they asked if I'd accept a refund for it. I was totally surprised, because it's not usual that a vendor/company will take their time and reach out to their consumers, nowadays, but I'm very pleased they did. I accepted and they reiterated, how they wanted to improve their merchandise and make sure that the quality met our satisfaction. I'm very pleased with this and am now open to trying out their future, improved reusable pads. 3Great for cold weather! ;) These were my first try when I decided to switch to cloth. I was immediately relieved by the feeling of fabric instead of sitting on plastic and crinkling every time I walked. :P These are very comfortable but a little stiff even after several washings. They're definitely thick and absorbent enough to handle heavy days! I think I'll enjoy these more in winter, though, they're very warm! I didn't think it would make much of a difference but I was very sweaty on warm days. The fleece doesn't absorb the blood immediately, like cotton or flannel would, but it definitely seeps in there within a minute or two of "the drop" and locks into that bamboo core so you feel dry again! The only time I had problems with a pad sliding around was when I was wearing underwear that is now significantly too big. I'll keep using these even though I've begun my collection of pricey PIMP pads. :P I got a freebie and fell in love with the cotton! These Wegreecos are going to be great for the cold weather, though! Because they stay pretty stiff, I would just recommend being careful and taking a couple extra seconds when lowering and raising your panties. So they're not perfect, but they do work very well and wash easily. You can't really tell just how absorbent they are until you start rinsing! I'm very impressed but how much these can lock into that bamboo core and still leave you feeling dry. So even though I'm unlikely to buy more of these, I'm happy that I got this pack. :) 4Love them!!!! This is the second brand I have tried. I loved them both. I will never go back! The photo shows a Always ultra thin overnight pad next to Wegreeco Bamboo pad that is 9.5 inches long.If you are wondering how many you need a month, I personally use around 10 each month. I have 2 heavy days, one medium day and 2 very light days each month. I feel these are more "natural" than tampons and the diva cup. They also add chemicals in pads, diva cup and tampons, and that is not cool. 5Great product for reducing the land fill. UPDATE: I have bladder leakage issues from time to time and had a bit of an accident while wearing one of these pads. i used my go to enzyme cleaner, Bac Out, which gets everything out of most everything, but it could not get the urine out of this pad. Normal washing should get it out just fine as it wasn't much of a leak and an enzyme cleaner should definitely have gotten it out. I could still smell urine after repeated soaking and washing. I am rethinking my original review of these. After several months of use and having to rinse forever and still not getting these things to rinse clean and after simple urine wouldn't even wash out I really have to wonder how clean these are getting in the wash. I have decided not to use these anymore between the cleaning difficulties, sweating, and the odor.ORIGINAL REVIEW: These pads are quite comfortable. They fit me well and stay put using the outer snap but I'm a larger gal and my underwear are wider. I do find there is an odor with these, especially in warmer weather. I'm guessing it is partly due to the waterproof layer which I find to be an absolute necessity. Every cloth pad I have tried that does not have a protective barrier, has leaked right away. Fluid just goes straight through. I do find they must be changed frequently though as there are no channels to spread the fluid out. You cannot get away with wearing them all day like some disposable pads.I find many cloth pads take quite a bit of water to clean (and these are no exception) but I think that it is a better use of resources than contributing to the landfills. Another plus for these is I have not had any staining like I have with cotton pads. These have come completely clean with every wash. 2Worry Free Menses I'm a doctor and I've grown increasingly frustrated with the products being targeted at women for menstrual cycles. Labels are now boasting "alternative facts" quite frequently. If you're trying to go natural and avoid using anything toxic or irritating you can easily be misled. I was looking for a product that I could suggest for patients who are sensitive to chemicals, at risk for genitourinary issues, etc. I decided to try the reusable sanitary napkins for myself since a recent irritation developed from using a leading menstrual pad manufacturer. I washed the pads prior to use and allowed them to air dry. I used them with absolutely no leakage during the day or night. I do recommend using the XL size for overnight since it is longer. I use the smaller sizes I previously ordered as daily panty liners. These don't require much effort to clean unless you are on your menstrual cycle. When on your menses, you will need to rinse and/or soak them prior to tossing them into the washing machine. Overall, I like and enjoy using these products. This is my 2nd purchase from this manufacturer. I have not experienced any irritation whatsoever. My work days are usually 12 hours long and I can wear these smaller ones as panty liners without any issues. My napkins came with a nice carrying pouch that zips and fits neatly into my hobo bag purse. 5Great quality and easy to use I was a bit timid about trying the cloth pads but decided to give them a try since I have always had issues with skin irritation from the adhesives used in disposables. I didn't know how this would work but I love them! Here's what I found:1: Cloth pads are so soft against your skin and there is little to no odor with proper personal care.2: These are super easy to clean. Just rinse with cool water. No need to soak like the ones my mom grew up.3: they stay in place pretty well. I don't find that they slide front to back too much, but they do turn to the side when pulling down under garments while wearing tighter clothing. Just what I found.4: Easy to wash. I just wash mine on the perm press cycle with unscented detergent and hang dry. They dry overnight in the house.5: adjustable snaps make it so you can wear them with a variety of undergarment styles. Very convenient!I've had mine for 4 cycles now and the quality is holding up very well. Stitching is great quality. Snaps are plastic making them hold up longer than metal due to the moist environment they are exposed to.Great quality, saved me money already and so comfy to wear. I loved them so much I ordered more in other patterns. 5Updated review after trying for several months UPDATE: Wish this were a positive update, but unfortunately I have to lower my rating/review after months of use. I would not recommend this product. After using more, the sliding back is definitely a problem. I have been using double-sided tape to keep them in place, but that's annoying and inconvenient. They have proven extremely hard to clean unless you clean them immediately after spotting. Even then, it takes some heavy duty scrubbing with a stain remover. They also definitely weigh more than typical liners, which sometimes leads to my undies loosening/stretching out as the day goes on, and makes me suspect this could shorten the shelf-life of my undies over time (stretching out, wearing faster). Lastly, now that the weather has warmed up, I would have to agree with other reviewers who complained that these are no friend to the heat and don't breathe well. Think wool sock for the lady parts. I will most likely be opting for organic cotton liners. Disappointed about the money lost, but a learning experience.OG POST: Like the lower environmental impact that accompanies this product, the length is also just right, and the patterns are sweet. I have to agree with the reviewer(s) who advised wearing a more snug pair of underwear to help keep them in place, and I will admit that after about 20 minutes of walking, the liner I was wearing had slid pretty far back even with snug underwear. If you're on your feet a lot and walking, these might not work for you. I also found them harder to clean than I'd hoped, but definitely not impossible- especially as I wear them with a cup so spotting is minimal. And lastly, I have only worn these in the winter; only one day did I feel "hot" but that may be an issue come summer. 2Worth the money and some. Must try. Buying another set. They stay in place (with close fitting undies, not loose ones). Super absorbent, reduced odor, airflow improved vs regular disposable pad. Washed in cold and tumble dried on low. Only downfall was they are bulky. You can not wear form fitting clothing or the buldge in the back will show. It's just gonna happen. Could not sleep in them, not comfortable as I'm a side sleeper. I was able to comfortably sit at my desk for 8 hours and change only 1x and I have a heavy flow. The only reason I changed was because the surface felt wet after about 4 hrs. If you bleed heavy and have clots on your cycle, you'll notice they don't absorb right away but eventually will. I felt very confident about the leak proof quality. Definitely should have these in your period routine. I'm buying another set to add to my rotation. 4Get fabric tape, baby powder, and unscented soap for cleaning and you are GOOD TO GO I love these. So so much. I use them with menstrual cups as a just-in-case measure. In fact, this is the second set of 5 mediums that I have purchased from Wegreeco. Three things you will need to invest in to ensure best results: double sided fabric tape, deodorizing powder, and unscented soap for cleaning. The fabric tape is essential to keep the slick outer fabric from slipping when you walk. I use 3 tabs, each about 1 inch. One front, one middle, one back. Then I fold the pad up without taking off the other side of the tape and stick it in my bag. Voila, ready to go. You will want deodorizing powder because these pads do trap odor no matter what you do. It's a pitfall of all bamboo-based fabrics. Personally, I use baby powder because if it's good to go on my kid's bottom, it's probably ok for me too. Finally, you want unscented soap for cleaning to prevent any harsh chemicals from causing an infection. One more note: 5 pads is a good number for using these as a just-in-case with menstrual cups, but if you are using them for full on period blood, you will want a set of 10 so you can rotate use, clean, dry without running out. Anyway, these are great and I love them and they make me happier about my period. I hope this helps you make the choice to buy them, and some others from the same company :) 5Super absorbent!! Make sure to order the right size the bigger the size the more sheets are used in the pad for absorbing. I found the medium size good for normal flow. If you have a Heavy flow go with a larger size. Also i've found that cotton briefs work best to minimize any shifting.Step by step on using effectively1st. Make sure to wash in cold or warm machine wash before first use. Do not use any fabric softener sheets or liquid, it affects the absorbency.2nd. Dry on low heat or air dry3nd. Once put in place keep an eye on when it's time to change. You will know when it's time when it wants to slide around. It slides around because of it's increase in weight, it has absorbed it's limit.4th. As soon as possible rinse with cold water. Add hydrogen peroxide on the grey part let sit for a minute. Rise with cold water till runs clear. Squeeze out excess water. Put in with next laundry load. 5
