Wilton 6 inch Springform PanI bought this pan to make cheesecake in my Instant Pot. Yesterday I made my first cheesecake in a pressure cooker and was amazed how great it turned out. I would have never thought you could do this. There are just the two of us here so this pan is exactly the right size. The nonstick coating was truly nonstick. Great little pan.5Works wellI have always used springform pans to make cheesecakes with crusts, where leakage was never an issue. I ordered this pan to make the layer cakes and crustless cheesecakes from Clean Eating with a Dirty Mind, by Vanessa Barajas (an absolute treasure for a person with gluten sensitivity), so it was essential that it not leak the batter. According to the reviews, some people have had problems with this pan leaking. Therefore, I held my breath when I ordered it, hoping to get one that did not leak. When it arrived, I tested it with water, which poured right out. I then tried parchment paper, waxed paper and foil separately and in combinations, inside under the ring, inside over the ring, outside, outside and inside, one, two three layers, etc. The water poured out. So I was going to return the pan. But then I learned more about springforms. They were never intended to be waterproof, but most will hold a thick batter. When I tested again with a flour slurry about the thickness of cake batter, voila! no leakage. (For use in a bain marie, place the pan inside a larger cake pan to prevent water from seeping in.)I did indeed use the pan to make a cake. I put a single layer of parchment on the bottom under the ring. I used an 8" parchment circle, which left a rim of paper I used after the cake had cooled to easily lift it off the base. The pan worked very well and the cake was easily released from the rim. I am now ordering a second, so I don't have to make the batter twice to produce a layer cake. The reason I have deducted a star is that a layer of crumbs was packed into the base of the rim, which is an open ring. Getting the crumbs cleaned out was difficult and involved toothpicks and the folded edge of a dishtowel. If anyone reading this has a trick for cleaning the pan, please leave a comment.I believe people have mentioned rust as an issue. This type of pan does commonly rust. For that reason, I do not soak it until about 15 minutes before I will clean it, I dry it thoroughly, and I leave the dried rim and base in a warm (150 degrees) oven for 10 to 15 minutes to ensure that it is as dry as possible.4I butter the mold and yes it's true that it didn't stick on the walls or the bottom and I demolded it easily. I baked Japanese Cheesecake which requires to place the mold inside a larger one with water. Although I took the precaution of lining the mold with foil, both the aluminum base and the inner base of the mold had water, and although the picture is not appreciated very well, the base of the cake has a different color by water That entered him. The mold was hermetically sealed. I can not say I love it YET but I will try again, soon. By now I will say 3 starts.3Great little cake pan!!! I needed a 6" cake pan to bake a personal size birthday cake. This springform pan is perfect. Just what I was looking for. I lined the pan with parchment paper on the bottom and around the inside. I was able to fit an entire box mix of cake batter into the pan and the parchment paper being taller than the pan made the cake taller. There were no leaks. It baked beautifully. The pan was packaged nicely and arrived quickly. 5Watch for the large base. This will work OK in the oven but I had bought it for my 3 quart Instant Pot. The picture does not show how the base comes out about 1/4 inch all around so it will not fit. I bought another one else ware and it fits perfectly.3Wow, that's small...This should work very well; however, I haven't used it yet. I guess I read the product description and didn't really perceive the six inch size. I won't have to worry about portion control and there won't be any left overs to consider storage requirements. Both of those issues are good things since this small pan will help with portion and intake. Glad I bought this one that is just a little deeper so that I can choose how many layers I want to build or how tall a cake might be...jus' sayin.'It appears well made and should last forever. Looking forward to using this pan. Thank you3Product was good for one time use but the quality is just ...Product was good for one time use but the quality is just not there. After two uses, the springform pan started leaking because either the clasp isn't tight enough, or the sealing is just poor. I only bought this a month ago and it does not work anymore. I tried it several times to make sure it wasn't user error due to not fully clasping or having the wrong side face up, but the product indeed has a leaking problem. So just a warning for those who buy this for the low price, be careful, when it leaks, it will cause the fire alarm to go off so don't be alarmed. Better to just spend a couple extra dollars and get a better quality springform pan.1Material is good, but some leakage from bottomI was looking for a spring release cake pan - read a whole bunch of reviews before settling on this. This wasn t the cheapest available, but my reviews and the picture posted looked to be sturdy and possibly good seal.I got it on time and quickly - so delivery wise it was good. Tried it out with water and the thing leaked like no tomorrow. Then again I thought - we are not trying to bake water so let s be realistic and fair.I used it to bake a banana bread mixture. It s not the most watery of batter and yet there were still leakage. I needed to put a cookie sheet below the pan. It did stopped once the batter started cooking and forming. The release worked fine, and I had parchment paper lined the bottom so no issue releasing from the bottom. However washing was a pain - the batter got into the grooves around the ring of the pan bottom and also into the groove of the ring itself. So a little disappointed over all. Maybe it is good for making something like no bake cheesecake only.2Fits the Instant Pot Mini BUT all rust now!It wasn't clear if this would fit in the Instant Pot Mini but I took a chance. Perfect choice. The quality is good. Our recipe called for using a parchment lining so I can't speak to any leaking concerns, especially since my mouth is full of good cheesecake! UPDATE: Seven months later this pan has completely rusted into a pile of junk....I'm sure it still fits in the Instant Pot but I can't use it!1Looks nice, but is bentThis pan looked great when we got it. However, upon use it let in a bunch of water from the water bath (even with being tin foil lined on the outside) and so the crust was all soggy. Then when I tried to remove the outside it could not physically go on and off without scrapping the sides of the cheesecake. Now that it's been cleaned and emptied I can see it is clearly bent so the outside when it expanded is not oval shape than circle. I can also see a bend in the track where is closes around the base. Unfortunately it seems the return window from Amazon has closed.1Perfect Size For Air Fryer CheesecakeI love this little pan. It's perfect for cheesecake in my air fryer. Just the right size, perfect for 2-8 slices, and cooked beautifully. I have a large cheesecake pan but not nearly so nice and now I like this size even better. Buy two if you want to use your full recipe and not have to wash in between batches. Be sure to run a knife around the edge before opening the spring. I didnt the first time and got a split in the top of my cheesecake. Not a big deal but next time I'll remember.5Five Stars 5
